LOL :) So cute. Are you not comfortable in the close-fitting bottom of the "MOB" dress?
Hi tenmylove :) I don't mind the close-fitting of the MOB dress, it's the combination of the asymmetrical drop and (also) asymmetrical skirt/train that I'm not a huge fan of. I loved the princess feel of the big poofy dress! Even tho the Priscilla wasn't actually that poofy.
hmm i think davids bridal has one very similar to that where you may be able to adjust the straps to make the neckline what you'd like. It's Oleg Cassini CD278.
crebre80 - that is quite close! I think I'll have to go try that one! Thank you!
no problem!! iswimibikeirun's suggestions are pretty close as well.
Haha. In the other post, I was going to make comments about how I like the top of the "MOB" dress and the bottom of the PoB dress, but decided to just say the "MOB" dress looks better on you. If you can find the combo, it'd be perfect!! I don't know any dreses like that off the top of my head but GL!! :)
How about this one? The skirt may not be full enough but the top is good I think. It is an Alfred Angelo dress (#1148).
hehe... we must have similar taste, because all of the gowns suggested for you on this thread are bookmarked on my computer. :) I was going to suggest them... but they're already here.
ps - as long as you're making a trip to DB, you might try V9665 (I think they can add cap sleeves, which isn't exactly the same, but similar), and T8615.
also...

I realize these are running in a slightly higher price range than DB would offer you, but you never really stated your budget, so ... :)
Finally, try searching www.augustajones.com for her Caprice gown - I can't get you a link because of geographic restrictions... basically a lot of sites I can't access from within China (where I live) because designers are afraid their designs will be copied and sold cheaper. Sad, eh? BUT the caprice gown is GORGEOUS and you should definitely check it out!
take also a look at ANYA from the Augusta Jones site.
I agree with the Davids Bridal suggestion. I tried it on and loved it! The Davids Bridal version isn't that poufy but maybe you could put some fluff under it?! Good luck let us know what you find!
Future Dr. Braun's first dress was similar I think...Here is a link to her post http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/petite-brides-show-us-your-dresses
OMG!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Sorry about the yelling, but I literally just SCREAMED upon seeing the "Anya" dress! I think that might be it, or possibly Caprice, depends on how the skirts hang. But seriously, you guys are amazing!!! Thank you thank you thank you!
My friend had a dangerously close looking dress to the one you seem to like....If you like it, let me know and I will find out make!
I think I'm in love with the Augusta JOnes ones. The knot says they're about $1500-3000, which was definitely at my high end, but at this point I'm ready to pay it. The only thing is I'm worried about it arriving for the wedding. I'm calling shops first thing tomorrow!
Bluebook-- did you check out "Malta" on the AJ website? It looks like exactly what you want!!!!! If you could push the sleeves off the shoulder, that is. It has the sash and waist and everything you described!
I tried on a maggie sottero dress. I think that it was marissa? It was similar and very flattering. The model pictures don't really do it justice. I was very close to choosing it, but it didn't suit our garden ceremony very well.

I'm getting dangerously close to my wedding (barely 4 months and 3 weeks to go) and still don't have a dress. After trying on a MILLION dresses, I've found my dream dress. Trouble is, it doesn't exist! Here is a rendition of what I'd like it to be. I thought if anyone could help out it was the hive! If you've seen anything like that out there, or have any ideas of something similar please share!
It's basically a portrait neck with mid-back coverage, horizontal fabric "cinching" the whole waist from under the breasts up until the natural waist area and then a poofy A-line skirt with a middle of the road train (about 3-4 feet). Don't care so much about the train, much more about the top of the dress, the portrait/waist cincher part.
