It depends on the total cost of your wedding (and what you can afford of course).  But I’d recommend $100 each.

It depends on if the hair stylist owns her own business or not. Is she coming to your location or are you going to a salon? 

As for the coordinators and the nice lady, that is your decision since they are being paid to do their job which is likely a salary job (not hourly like servers) $50 would be fine for them.

I wouldnt tip the photographer if they own their own business.  Really anyone who owns their own business I wouldnt tip.

Here’s what we’re doing:

  • Venue staff – 15% of food and beverage total
  • Hair/MUA – 20%
  • Photographer – $100 per shooter
  • DOC – $50
  • String quartet – $40 per musician

I have also heard that if they own their own business tipping is not expected.
