    Hello Bees,

I am getting married at 1:00 in a Scarborough church and having my reception at the Manor in Kettleby, ON. My original plan was to go to Unionville for some photos and then go to The Manor to take more pictures on the grounds. However I just found out that I cannot take any pictures there from 3-5, which is exactly when I was planning on doing them!

I can get around it by going to the Manor immediately after the ceremony, but then I have to give up on going to Unionville for pictures.

OK Bees – This is where I need your help!

Does anyone know any “old town” type of places near the Manor? Nearby cities are Newmarket and Aurora, but I’ve never been there and I’m not sure if they have the look I’m going for.  Basically I will have the beautiful lake and nature at the Manor, so I’m looking for a place with more architecture.

I know of an amazing spot in this area!

Marylake Augustinian Monastery is close by and a wonderful location for photos... it's got a hertiage area witha stunning old stone/red barn, stone fences and lovely grounds with trees, pathways and great coloured/textured wall areas.  I think it would suit your search for a look that's a little different from The Manor, but still close by.

I can't find a direct link to it, but you can find some info if you google around.  If you'd like to see some photos from the area PM me.

It's a great alternative to Unionville in that area, and not many people know about it.  You might need a permit though, so be sure to contact them before the big day.

Hope you find a spot you love! :)
