Try Cullen’s in Clear Lake.  They have several rooms for weddings and events.  They go by a minimum purchase per the number of guests.  That fee includes food, bev, cake, and apps.  The tables, chairs  and linens are provided unless you want to do your own.  You can rent an additional space for ceremony or bridal suite or cocktail hour.  Its quite modern and lovely.  The food is good too.  Just be sure to get everything in writing (and have a copy with you) as their event person is not on site during the event.  They are used to doing things a certain way so if you want it different, it needs to be in writing in case they didn’t get the message.  The staff was quite helpful but we had a day of coordinator to help and about 100 guests.  Give them a look.  There are lots of other places in town but few that gave us as much for the money and still very modern and elegant. Good luck!

PS  We got a $1000 discount by attending the Bridal Extravaganza.  If you talk to them at the show, they will give you a coupon.  You can not use it towards the minimum purchase but we upgraded the dance floor, got the cocktail space, extra time for the reception and a host of other things with the discount so the cost was basically the food/bev.

It’s a bit of a ways out of Houston if you were wanting something downtown, but check out Heather’s Glen in Conroe. They have a variety of packages at different price points. And a bonus, all their prices and packages are listed online.
