Have you looked at Liberty House?  It has an awesome view of the city and it’s a beautiful venue.

What about the new Westin that just opened in Jersey City? We’re doing our room block there and they were super nice.

I don’t have any other suggestions, but I imagine that anything with a view of the city is going to be pretty expensive.

I have heard that the Highlawn Pavilion has a gorgeous view of the city.  Good luck!

The Hyatt in Jersey City has great views of the city!  Chart House also has the views.  Good luck!

I am a vendor (flowers) but I worked with a lot of venues that have good views of NYC:

of course there is the legendary Liberty House (I know, too expensive, but if you set the wedding at certain times and dates, you might get a good deal)

Hyatt in Jersey City, of course too expensive.

Frank’s Waterside in Weehawken/Union City I believe will work with very safe budgets.

The Chart House… we will have an event there next year, but from visiting it, it has great views.

You can also think in terms of a cruise (the Spirit, Batoux), leaving from Jersey City, NYC or Weehawken. It puts more strain on your guests as they will not be able to leave whenever, but it gives you moving images of NYC, Liberty statue and so on.

Good Luck.

How about Piermont?  Very close to Bergen, great water views (though a little far from the city) but really beautiful!

Perfect timing for a post like this. We are in the middle of a search for the same thing.

We visited Frank’s which was great and very flexible with budget.

Also the Sheraton in Weehawken is really very nice. The ceremony is outside (you have to rent the chairs), but if it rains it’s in a business-like room in the hotel. The reception is on the first floor, not a direct view of the city but you can walk right outside. It’s very very nice. Also flexible with budget. (They are also undergoing a complete renovation and it’s beautiful!!)

We also just looked at The Newark Club in Newark, NJ … the reception room is in the 22nd floor and wow, the views are spectacular. Windows everywhere and you can see the Empire State Building. Prices vary, and they do have guest quotas.

Update, Arthur’s Landing is actually closed.

There’s also Michael Anthony’s & Harborside Club in Jersey City.
