AdaLee:  My philosophy when it comes to photography is I want someone who does interesting things with light and angles. I don’t want someone who can take the kind of photos that looks like I could have taken it. I think #1 uses the most interesting perspectives. I’d pick them. (just my opinion, of course!)

I don’t have an answer for you, but I will say that all three are great. It’s just a matter of what’s important to you (having a good mix of posed photos and candids, more candid than posed, composition vs capturing emotion). I’d also suggest emailing all three now to see their availability. If your town is anything like mine, 2/3 will already be booked!

All three are equally as good IMO. I’d’ just stick with whomever you’ve already booked and you can’t go wrong 🙂

I’m a wedding photographer and I personally like the 3rd one the best. They have good composition and use a combination of wide and long lenses so you get the full story from more than one perspective. I also really like their colors and post processing the best.

It’s really trendy right now to edit with a vintage filmy look and so a lot of photographers are doing a lot of really grainy edits. It’s 2014. Camera sensor technology is really good. You never want to look back in 10 years and ask yourself why there is so much visible grain in your photos.

AdaLee:  I think the first one does good work in terms of exposure but they seem to be very traditional with their poses. I just don’t feel a whole lot of emotion when I look at her galleries. Each bride is different so if you like traditional shots, then I think you’ll be super happy with your choice!

I don’t see any detail shots in her galleries such as rings, cakes, centerpieces, etc. I didn’t go through her blog but I do feel that the small details that you put a lot of work into also help tell the story of your day.

If you have any second thoughts at all then you should go with your gut. This is the biggest day of your life and all you’ll have left when the day is over is your groom and your photos. 😉
