I am having a hard time choosing between a blush and purple theme. I went out today to see how the different shades look on my skin, my bridemaids are dark skinned like me. Please help me choose bridesmaids color hence a theme. I am trying to achieve a classic romantic look with elegance and I am completely torn, please help! . Please make your judgement based on colors only, these are not the dressing we are going with. Thanks Bees!
My other poll here with respect to theme only is a tight race: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/please-help-me-choose-a-theme-pic-heavy#axzz2jXHnEDDc
Three colors: Blush, Lilac, Lavender:
Color 1: Blush
Color 2: Lilac
Color 3: Lavender
Thank you Bees!

I love both the Blush & Lavender!

Honestly they are all lovely. It is purely a matter of personal preference.
If I had to choose one, i think the lilac looks best with your skin tone. It is brighter.

I agree that the lilac is most flattering on you and it’s such a pretty color. Btw, I voted for the purple themed wedding in the other post.

@PonkiHoneyBee: The blush has more of a timeless elegance, it also looks beautiful on dark skin tones. I personally think that the blush dress you have picked out is stunning, classic and elegant.

Thanks Bees for your contributions, tight race sor far!

I voted lavender. It’s one of my favorite colors!

I am now 99% sure I will go with blush, I think its more romantic and I can easily mix it with champagne, ivory and white to produce an elegant timeless look. Iam finding purple too dominating, it screams “PURPLE” .
Thank you bees for your help, I really appreciate it!

I was going to vote “blush” because I adore the colour but I changed my mind once I saw the dresses against your skin. I think the lilac dress looks best with your skin tone. I don’t like lavender that much, it makes your skin look grayish, and the blush dress reminds me of a night gown a little bit, I think it’s the combination of the colour and that particular style, they just don’t go together very well.
You could still use both lilac and blush in your theme though, I think they would look gorgeous together.

I love the blush, but its so popular right now, and even though I originally wanted to use that color for my wedding, I’ve changed my mind because its so common!
I voted for option three, I think they are the prettiest!!

I think the blush is pretty, but it’s very trendy right now. I say this as someone who has blush everywhere in her wedding, lol. If I were you, I’d go with the lavender–gorgeous color!! Maybe something like lavender, gray, navy?

My vote is the lavendar! I like that dress the best as well. I love the theme and colors you are going for….very pretty!

I saw a girl a few weeks ago in that third color and it looked more gray than anything. The bride was disappointed at how it turned out. And she’d seen the sample in-store.

Blush would be my first choice with lilac my second.
