- Wedding: February 2013
I have a dilemma, I am torn between 2 totally different style dresses.
DRESS 1 – Alfred Sung dress with beading & vintage style lace, strapless sweetheart neckline in a fitted shape.
The dress is too big for me and needs to be altered, the pink ribbon is just for the look, I would have a nicer silk flower belt accessory made to wear with this style.
DRESS 2 – is Pronovias ‘Batista’ – very princess, the image of the girl wearing it is NOT me but the dress pretty much looks like this on me so it gives you a good idea.
***My dilemma is that I have already purchased the Alfred Sung dress (possibly on the spur of the moment) and cannot return it, I do think it’s lovely but possibly only that!!
I feel it doesn’t have the WOW factor for me and the alterations may ruin the shape as a lot needs to be taken out around my bottom and may affect the shape at the back / train.
The Pronovias dress is a style I have been drooling over in the shop window for months but only yesterday tried it on and it looks fantastic but I am concerned it is TOO princess and over the top, it looks lovely from the front but from the side is very puffy & I am worried it could be too… ‘big fat gypsy wedding’!!
The Pronovias dress is on sale and I only have this sale opportuntiy to purchase it until tomorrow at the reduced price.
I am really confused as I think I have definitely decided the Alfred Sung dress is not for me & not the one for my wedding day!! (I will therefore regrettably have to sell it)…
BUT I am also confused as to whether the Pronovias one is for me, I love it from the front but am concerned it is way too big from the side & back… I am going back tomorrow to try it again with 2 of my friends… I do get that WOW feeling each time I look at the photo!! but am debating if this really is the one for me!?
I am considering to just go ahead and sell the Alfred Sung dress, do not buy the Pronovias and leave the dress for a few months and then start again at a later date & try on a load more styles?!
Any opinions would be a great help!!
P.S I am getting married in Australia in Summer – Feb 2013 (so I have time)….
