I vote Nude heels. Nude heels elongate your legs and with that dress they would look stellar. Then, go find a champagne or nude colored shawl.
I think your first instincts were bang on. Nude heels and medium grey cardigan all the way!

I received a gifted dress that is similar to this photo. It has straps though, and is a dark teal/hunter greenish color. I have two shoe options: a vinyl nude heel or a black leather pump.
I want to wear a cardigan with it, but bright white seems to harsh with the color (and doesn't match the black or nude heel options) and I can't figure out anything else that would look somewhat classy. Any ideas? Maybe a grey cropped cardigan?
