I don’t post much but I lurk and could use come advice. I bought a dress from David’s about 10 months ago for my September wedding. It is now discontinued. I do like it, but after trying it on again recently, feel like it looks cheaply made and isn’t as flattering as I orginally thought. I can’t afford to buy a whole new wedding dress, but I found a pretty ivory evening gown I can afford, so I thought that might work. We are having a daytime Saturday wedding at a nice restaurant, pictures will be outside.
Please help! I am about a size 10 in real life, big boobs, bit chubby. This isn’t me in the pic .
here’s the link to the other dress

For a daytime wedding, I prefer the dress you already have. The silk sheath looks like something you’d wear to an evening cocktail reception.

I like the other dress more than the one you already have. It looks a bit more elegant and the style, flow an material just looks better.

I love that DB dress, personally. Another poster wore it for her wedding looks adorable in it. I love how it’s simple and a bit unique.

I like the first dress much better for your wedding!!

I prefer the dress that you have. I recently married on @ a park overlooking the beach and I wore a traditional sheath wedding dress. It was perfect for my ceremony and I’m glad I didn’t have a flowy gown since the wind was really blowing.

I love the one you already have. The natural waist is very flattering. What about adding a crystal sash/belt or flower on the waist?

I agree with most pp’s I love the dress you have. I believe it is amnystik who had that dress for her wedding and I just thought it looked so pretty, as I’m sure it does on you too!

I love the dress you already have, and I don’t think it looks cheap at all! Another bee definitely had the same dress for her wedding, and she looked awesome in it! I think that the new dress it pretty, but it looks kind of like a nightgown to me. This seems much more appropriate for a daytime wedding. I think you’ll look amazing with this dress!

I like the DB. The Calvin Klein one doesn’t look bridal at all to me on top or on bottom.
What about a belt or something to make the one you have feel more special?

Thanks for the advice. I do have a crystal sash I bought from preownedweddingdresses.com and it does jazz it up a bit. Hopefully after I have it fitted better I’ll like it more. I do really like my dress, and it has pockets! but I’m just feeling meh about it right now.
