I am trying to design our photo thank you cards, and I can’t decide how to do it. Do you think I should use a collage of 3 photos like this:
Or should I ust use the single photo:
Or maybe use only 2 pics and add some text to the card? The problem with that is, I do not have photoshop or other similar programs, so I can’t figure out how to add text in a nice font to the white space in the image below.
The text I would add to the white space is something like this, but I can’t find a free photo editing program that has similar fonts. I can’t use this image because I did it in Paint and it’s grainy.
Any advice would be appreciated!

If you’re going to do a collage, do a collage of 3 different shots (ones without the thank you signs). Personally I like the kissy photo the most!

How many cards are you looking to get and what is your budget? There are a few online retailers that have thank you photo cards already designed and you just customize the text and add your photo. Would you be interested in something like that?
I really like the ones from weddingpaperdivas and minted but Vistaprint has them too.
As for which photo, I think just one. I like the one where you are looking at each other but not quite kissing. 🙂

I’m going with the one photo for our thank you notes and it’s mostly because you can see more of us (details of the dress, etc.) on the photo. We had about 40 people that we invited who were unable to attend our wedding so I’d like for them to have a nice photo of me and my new hubby. Now, if only our pro pics would get here!

If you go with the collage use one photo with the thank-you sign and pick 2 different photos to add.
I like the single photo of the 2 of you standing on the porch because you can see your dress.
Personally, I like receiving/seeing multiple pictures.

Of your options, I like the one with 3 photos. We used weddingpaperdivas for our photo collage thank you cards, and they were a hit. Our card had 4 photos, some with the “thank you” signs and some without.

I agree, if you do the collage don’t use pics with the “Thank You” sign in all, it looks redundant.

Thanks everyone. I agree with most of these suggestions. I just don’t have the rest of our professional pics (the photographer only sent me the thank you ones so I could get going on that). But I agree that I should either go with one “thank you” pic, or use a collage of thank-you and non-thank-you pics. I guess I should wait to see the rest of the pics and decide from there. I was worried that its getting too late to wait for the rest of the pics. Hopefully it won’t take much longer!
Thanks for the help everyone!

I voted for the collage but I agree with the PP’s. Can you switch up some of the pictures? I think it would be nice if you kept the large “thank you” picture and then added other wedding pics on the side. You only have to thank them once, afterall. 🙂
Do you happen to have a Mac? We used iPhoto for our TY’s and they came out AMAZING (Apple prints them and ships them directly to you)! We selected a template that had a 5 photo collage on the front and allowed for a full size image on the inside cover.
I’ll see if I can find a pic of our Thank You and post it so you can see what I mean.

@BlushingMonk: Do you have any guest photos? You could mix the one pro with 2 guest photos. Or, ask your photographer if they would be willing to give you 2 more photos to use.
Our photographer didn’t get our photos to us until 5 months after the wedding, so I used guest photos. I used snapfish to make the thank-you cards, but you could also look into wedding paper divas, mpix, adoramapix or photocards direct.

Either the 3 picture collage with only one picture with the sign or a 1 picture thank you card is what gets my vote 🙂

i agree with everyone else, you should only include one picture that says “Thank you”

I like the kissy one best 🙂 maybe do the one photo with that? Or the two photos and figure out how to do text on the rest
