I’m having the ever-present dilemma–to veil, or not to veil. Given my dress (photo below), the Christos Desiree, would you wear a veil? If I go the veil route, I don’t know whether to go fingertip (or elbow?), chapel, or cathedral length. Help, please!

I would go with one of those retro bubble veils for this sweet 50s inspired dress. BTW, I’ve been obsessed with this dress since it came out. You’re a very lucky girl 😉

I think your dressy is very kicky. A chapel or cathedral veil would overpower it to me. I voted for fingertip because elbow isn’t an option.

I’d go with elbow length. I also have a Christos dress and didn’t feel anything went with the ivory silk organza so my seamstress is making one to match – it’s much better than the standard tulle and not so poufy, so it doesn’t overwhelm the dress so much.

Thank you for the comments! I always loved the look of a single layer chapel/cathedral veil, so I’m kinda bummed, but I think I agree that it would be too much with this dress…

I’d go elbow length or shorter – anything longer will take away from the dress I fear.

A short veil would be great … and BTW your dress is gorgeous!

I agree with everyone else who said fingertip/elbow. I’m a fan of chapel/cathedral veils too, but I don’t think one would really suit your dress.

I think you could go either fingertip or elbow and it will look stunning!

I tried this dress on with a single layer chapel length and it looked stunning…..the sheerness of the veil is important, otherwise it will over power.

Your dress is ridiculously beautiful! I say elbow or fingertip. 🙂
