Hi, ladies. My mom has been in the hospital for some time and we have decided to have a wedding ceremony very soon in her hospital room. I already have my wedding dress for our planned wedding in the fall, so with little time and budget, I am looking for a dress to wear at the ceremony at the hospital.
In my mind, I would be wearing something elegant without being too formal or somber. Something shorter in white, with a flouncy a-line so it doesn't feel everyday, you know? Oh, and because of time constraints, it needs to be off the rack.
Has anyone seen anything? I've checked JCrew, Banana, Ann Taylor, Nordstroms....
I'm so sorry about your mom. I bought my rehearsal dinner dress (white, flouncy a-line) at Guess, so maybe try there? What about department stores like Macy's or Bloomies? Or Saks? Jessica McClintock (even the normal stores, not just the outlets, I think they have short dresses too) is a great suggestion.
