It really reminds me of Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, California, but I don't believe it is it because I don't think it is by water.
I ran across this picture a few months back. I remember because I searched hi and low on the designer's site (David Beahm Designs) looking for the name as well (because the designer is from NY and FI and I hoped the location would be somewhere near there or New England). But, I gave up and was never able to find out :(
http://davidbeahm.com/#photo-album-f446a - it's the 3rd/4th picture on the bottom filmstrip.
Your best bet is to email them and ask them. Otherwise, it would probably be like searching for a needle in a haystack. If you do find out, let me know. Goodluck! :)
It's in Newport RI. I can't remember the exact name (the only thing I can find it as is the Summer house) I'll send you a link to the page I saw with it...
Scroll down and you'll see it there....
It could be the Breakers (and that link has the wrong name on it...or I could be wrong)
I will warn you that Newport is a difficult place to have a wedding especially because its so expensive for your guests.
If you are in the New England area though check out the Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park in Waterford, CT. (Where I'm getting married!!!!) It was a lot less expensive then most places I was looking at and it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen!

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all so very much!!! I truly appreciate your help! You have no idea how crazy this has been driving me.
I am living in Boston right searching for "Estate-like" Venues. I may take a look at the Crane Estate, Castle Hill. I also had my eye on Oheka Castle but not sure yet. The Eolia Mansion looks gorgeous as well, I will have to check it out!
Thank you all again!
Abby
you could also look at sapphire manor (I think, its sapphire something) or I think Glen Magna Farms also does events.
Have you found the estate yet? Try emailing the photo to: info@newportmansions.org & see if they can help you.
If you are looking for a castle-like setting, try Hammond castle: http://www.hammondcastle.org or Belcourt Castle: http://www.belcourtcastle.com/weddings.htm
If you need custom invites for your wedding, check out my site at: http://www.calligraphicstudio.com/calligra.htm
Good luck!
Thanks, Calligrapher! I have an idea that the estate may be the<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre-wrap"> "Rough Point" Mansion in Rhode Island.
I'll have to check out the Hammond & Belcourt Castle! Thanks for the tips!
HI, not sure if you've found it out yet or not, but I think it may be the Harbour Court mansion of the New York Yacht club. It's a private venue, but they do allow functions there as long as you're connected with a member of the NYCC. Here's the link to the main webpage. http://www.nyyc.org/home/ If you call, they can give you more information.
that looks like searles castle or hammond castle. i know we looked at hammond online and stumbled upon this http://bostonweddingphotojournalist.com/hammond-castle-wedding-photography.html i have heard both castles are pricey but they would be truly memorable fairytale events!
