I usually don't do pickup skirts, but I think that first one looks DIVINE on you. The second one is pretty, but the first one has so much oomph!
i think the flowery dress is more unique but Dallas Marie is super flattering on you!
Ditto what Scissors said. I'm usually not a fan of pickup skirts but that one's really pretty and I'm luvin the lace-up in the back too.
i voted the first one because its a style that I prefer. of course, not knowing you or your wedding plan maybe dress #2 is the better choice for you.
edit: fixed typo, i prefer the first dress
I picked the flowery dress because it is more dramatic to me. I want the dramatic affect when I walk down the aisle. If your going for a more traditional look then I would say the first one. It's your decision though and you look beautiful in both dresses!
well to give you an idea of the wedding, it will be in Vegas in middle October of this year (so weird to say "this year") and we are doing very modern colors (green, bronze/gold, and like a blush/rose color) It is going to a small wedding, at most 60 ppl
I think the 2nd dress is unique and fun but the first dress fits you so well!!
I voted #1!
Well based on the size and the colors, I revote for the first one!!
okay fellow October vegas bride - now that i know more about the wedding #1 is my pick!
i must say, when you said vegas - i thought dress #2. its fun, its sassy and its has a different look about it. i do prefer the design of dress #1 for personal reasons but its a classic style that you see repeated alot. sorry i dont think my posts are helping you in your choice
I guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the second dress. I think you could wear either dress for a Vegas wedding - I think the first one is sexier but the second one is a lot of fun.
The first one, no contest, it looks great on you. Plus I really don't like the bow on the back of the second one, but even without it I would say the other dress.
When you first posted the flower dress,I admit I loved it! Not so much the bow, but the flowers! However, i loved your the other cause i think it looks better on you!
what kind of wedding are you having? both do look great (sorry!) so maybe pick the one that goes with your wedding best. I think the 1st one goes better with a more traditional, formal wedding and the second one has a little more personality so it goes better with a more flirty, fun kind of event. Also, it depends on how you want to feel. The first one is elegant and sexy and the second one is more fashion forward and flirty.
Oooh, I absolutely love the flowery one!!!
I'm not a huge fan of pick-ups, and I think the sash hits in an odd place on the first one.
They both look amazing on you!
But I chose the flowery one because it is so unique - I love it!
First dress! I thought it was so flattering!
I like the flowery dress, but that big bow is a bit much for my taste.
I love the second dress, it is fun and whimsical, however I'm not a fan of the huge bow. I think the first dress is nice, but if you want something different, go with #2 I've never seen a dress like that before (if it was in a shop out here I would have snatched it up!)
I am a little on the fence about that BIG bow too but I noticed that it wouldn't be anything to take it off and it doesn't look like its missing something if you do
I picked the first one! It looks great on you and shows off your figure very nicely. I had seen the flowery dress online (I believe it's the Allure Couture I liked, or something very similar) and asked around at stores if they had it to try on, but no one did, and I always had this feeling like I still needed to try it on before I buy a dress. After seeing it on you, I still love it, but I like the one that I'm going to buy today better (for me)!
So thanks for posting this! It was great timing!!!
I am not a fan up pick-up skirts or the corset back so I prefer the second dress. I also feel it is somewhat different and unique. If you don't like the bow in the back, I am sure that can be modified to still have the sash in some way.
Two things you should know about me: 1) I hate pickups 2) I love flowers. And still? I LOVE the first dress!! It is fantastic and it looks amazing on you! The flowery one is too stiff imo.
I usually don't dig pick-ups, but that dress is so flattering on you! I'm voting #1, but both are great choices.
Dallas Marie is pretty, but I've seen at least a dozen other brides around wearing it so it's lost alot of it's oomph for me. Plus I'm also not a fan of pickups..
The flowery dress is STUNNING on you, it's unique and just WOW. the first time you posted about it I said I loved it, I love it even more now.
You can still find some sort of rocking lower heel to wear, or at least talk to a seamstress about adding length it absolutely nescessary.
I'm firmly in the second dress camp.
OMG! I just fellin love with that second dress... it is sooooo pretty! There is my vote!
I Love the first dress on you. I am just thinking Oct and floral in the vegas desert? Hm... But in the end, all that matters is what you love and what fits the wedding best. I look at the first and think HAWT and the second and I think CUTENESS!
@ indecisive bride - super happy to help, I would love to see yours when you get it =)
thanks bees for all your input, it helps out a lot, you guys are always so sweet!
I agree with @prettyflowers, the first is "hotter" - good for Vegas BUT the second is super original and really fun and I would actually choose it instead and still fits your superbly.
When I saw your first post about the flowery dress I really loved it. Especially because it is so unique and fun. BUT I've gotta say even though I don't like pick ups I LOVE the Maggie.

Ok so I feel like I am consistently trying to get reassurance on this issue but for some reason I am having a wretched time trying to decided on a dress. Sorry if I am getting annoying with it bee's but anyone else gives me the " you will look great in both" answer. I had originally decided on a dress by Maggie Sottero, the "Dallas Marie", I went home to Oklahoma and my friends and family sucked me into going dress shopping and I loved everything about this dress and my friends loved it as well. So I get back to Missouri and head into the local shop to order the dress and seen a great flowery dress that I loved too so I tried it on and the dress and I had a whirlwind courtship and I purchased her a day later. Now I am worrying and full of second guessing. One thing about the dress that I went ahead and bought, is that it fit perfectly without any alterations or undergarments...or shoes. Since the length is so perfect if I wear anything over an inch or 2 then the dress will be too short and O man how I love shoes and I just dont feel that will do but the lady and the shop said that she didnt think length could be added because of the dress. So please bees...help!
(SIDE NOTE - the Dallas Marie was a size 2 so I am sqeezed into it so please excuse the over-pour lol)
