I think that diagonal line on the first dress looks stunning on you. I'd say #1. Good luck! :)
I like dress #1 better- I think the assymmetrical draping at the waistline is so flattering.
I think the first dress looks beautiful on you!! I love the beading and detail on the side!
Dress #1 definitly. It makes you look like you have a nicer shape. I think it may be the diagonal lines. Either way it looks fabulous! :)
You may want to consider getting another veil if it doesn't match, but I think it's best to find a veil to match the dress, not a dress to match the veil!
let us know what you decide!
I am going to throw another #1 out there too! You look awesome in it!
Dress #1 definately. Although they both look good. I just think the first one photographs better. And when the day is over, all you will have left are pictures....go with the one that looks good in print!
Dress # 1 for sure! Even if dress #2 looks better in person than in photos, you'll want to look great in your wedding photos so that's an important consideration too.
I'd say number one as well; I'm just not a fan of pleating detail. And I'd probably still wear the antique veil, even if it is a shade darker!
you look great in #1! though i can understand why you like #2. #1 just looks better on YOU and that's what matters.
I think the deciding factor is in the last statement you made. It's all about the pictures, and you don't want to risk picking a dress that doesn't make you look your best in photos!
The gathering at the waist in #1 is so flattering on you. You wear it well!
I agree with the hive. Dress #1 with the rouching it definitely most flattering. Rouching is almost universally flattering, so I don't think altering #2 would change the verdict.
Don't worry if the veil doesn't match just right. I don't think anyone (but you) will notice. And you won't have the veil on all night.
Plus if the difference between the veil and dress is pronounced in the photos, have your photog retouch them or do some in black and white.
Also, I want to add that when I ran a poll like this for shoes, everyone said shoe 2, and that made me really sad - but I realized that meant I liked shoe 1 better, so I decided to go with that anyway! So let this poll help illuminate your favorite, and go with it even if we don't agree!
If you need another vote, #1 is gorgeous on you. My bridesmaids are wearing a dress with the same waist detail and it is so flattering! and yes, you want to look as good in pics as in person!!
reading your post about your first dress only helps me pick number 1 for you. that dress looks awesome on, and it only seems that you bought dress two in a fit of worry.
Stick with dress one.
but i certainly agree with blushingaudrey's comment as well!
GL
. you're going to look amazing either way you go!
I really do think #1 is prettier on you. Also, since you're going to be taking thousands of photos on your wedding day, you want a dress that photographs well!
you are wearing dress 1.
dress 2 wears you.
by that, i mean you seem to shine a bit more more in the first dress--it's beautiful and you look radiant, and i'm loving the diagonal draping.
dress two has cool details, for sure, sorta architectural, but the cut of it and where the waist hits aren't nearly as flattering as dress one.
Definitely #1! It highlights such a pretty hourglass shape. I can't get enough of that bias cutting.
Both are great, but the diagonal on #1 is definitely very flattering:) I also love the beadwork! Very nice
I'd say number one as it's definitely the most flattering! Number two could be a lovely dress, but it's hard to say when it's WAY too big for you! But I'd say pick which one you feel the most comfortable and "bride-sy" in :o)
1
It gives you the vavoom factor. The second dress looks like you're modeling it for someone else.
Dress 1!!
Looks like everybody else agrees with me :) I don't like dresses with distinct top and bottom parts. My dress is also asymmetric :D

I am a 2-dress bride. I love them both, but need to pick one to start alterations (one is too small and the other is too big).
Assuming the seamstress can make them fit, which dress do you like better?
Dress 1: Demetrios 4189
Dress 2: Sabrina Toy for Mon Cheri Couture
Pictures of me in them are here.
I know the pics of Dress 2 aren't good, but I thought it was because the dress is too big on me. If I had it altered down, I hoped it wouldn't be boxy anymore.
People who've seen me in them in person cannot pick between the dresses--it's only when you take pics that Dress 2 looks worse.
Thanks!
