    Hi,

I've been thinking about this for days, and have no idea what to do.  I know, it's silly to fret over this...but here goes.

Wedding is May 22, and want the wedding to look somewhat springy/summery...so not all neutrals.

My dress is mocha with ivory overlay (sounds wierd, but it's really cool - just a tad darker than ivory)

FI and BM suits are grey (not dark grey, not light grey, but middle of the road grey)

Our invites were Taupe and Black (cause we had no idea what colours we were going to use)

What colour do I pick for the bridesmaids dress,?  Honestly I'm open to anything here.

    Please help....

Maybe a rich chocolate color with a champange or taupe sash? Something to offset the paler colors of the others.

I've seen the perfect palette for you. I saw it sometime ago and fell in love with it. It's taupe and fuschia. I love the neutral base with the modern pop of colour. Think peonys, dahlias etc. I think this pallette has so much mileage to it and would lend itself so well to the mid grey suits. Grey and pink look sooo cute together.

There is also a really cute fushia dress for your bridesmaids at j.crew right now...

I was going to suggest pink also, but I was thinking along the lines of a lighter pink. However, I took a look at the MS link Hanmay supplied and I think the brighter pink looks fantastic!

What about a nice summery shade of green?  I think green with taupes and blacks looks really chic.

I like the fuschia, I remember seeing that spread in MSW and wishing I would have thought of that.

I was going to say spring green or maybe a light gray or brown with a pink OR green sash.

Check out barijay.com.  I got a bridesmaid's dress from there and liked it!  It was style number 982.  You can play around with the colors....we had black with a light yellow sash and light yellow under the dress.  Also check out style 772.

I kind of like the idea of the brightness brought in from the girls dresses. Or you could keep them neutral and have the bouquets really bright and/or add a sash to their dresses. I wouldn't worry bout it too much I think you have a great deal of options you can really work with.

Love the palette that hanmay showed you.  I think the fushia (or a lighter pink) would look great with the grey suits that your guys are wearing as well.  Because the guys are in grey suits, it's striking me as the more dominant color than taupe (assuming the effect of your dress is really an ivory tone and not mocha).  Snippet and Ink has had some gorgeous inspiration boards with grey, including lavender/grey, yellow/grey, and soft blue and grey:

Good luck! Your palette so far is so neutral that I think you could add any color that you love to bring in some spring-like "pop"!

I second Subee's Yellow suggestion.  Here's a few yellow/grey boards.  The yellow would pop well with the mocha, ivory, taupe, and black.

Oh, I love the lemony yellow combination from the Snippet & Ink inspiration board.  Also, the fucshia is gorgeous.

What about a bright yellow?  Like a daffodil type color to pop against the neutrals?

I was going to suggest fuschia as well, but also some sort of teal or turquoise would really "pop" and is always classy when paired with the brown family!
