Hey guys! I need your help with deciding which dress I should go with. This is my second trip to a bridal shop. First trip didn't go very well.  I've pretty much decided that I want one of these dresses. One is a Jim Hjelm, the other is Tara keely. I also tried on the Jim Hjelm with the flower belt from the Tara Keely dress.  The Jim Helm is peach with an Ivory overlay. Which I really love. The samples obviously don't fit me properly, so use a lot of

Imagination! Lol.....also the pictures are pretty dark because of the dim lighting.

I love the first one! You look great in both, but I like the deeper sweetheart in the first one- good luck :)!

You look great! I like the bottom of the Jim Hjelm so much more than the Tara Keely, and I think the bling belt is great. It accentuates your waist and adds a bit of sparkle without competing with the rest of the dress, and most importantly - you!

the 1 dresses are not sitting right on your bust.  the last dress looks much better on you.

my pick is the tara keely.

My first choice is the Tara Keely. It really has something that makes it more wow than the other. My second choice after that is the Jim Hjelm with flower belt. I don't like it with the bling belt.

My vote is for the Tara Keely with the flower belt.  The first dress is a little more va-va-voom sexy, but the Tara Keely looks more bridal to me (more romantic and elegant).

It looks great on your body too, so that's always a plus!  Smile

Thanks guys! I think I really need to take time and think this one out! I'm in love with both! They even said I could make the Tara Keely a deep heart shape like the Jum Hjelm. That only complicated the situation even more. Lol

I like the Tara better for two reasons... I wouldn't change the sweetheart neckline, the smaller sweetheart is what I like better on you.  The bottom of the dress is far more romantic and wow than the jimhjelm as well

@Mariej1221:  I agree with you about the Keely dress, it is softer and more romantic. For me, it's better, but not by much. Both are really pretty.

I voted for the Tara K but I'm not sure about that belt.... I kinda think it's adding bulk at your waistline.  You can always wait until you begin alterations before selecting a belt.

I went in with every intention of getting the Tara Keely, until my MOH discovered the Jim Hjelm. The more i stare at them, the harder the decision gets. Lol

Also there's a price gap between the 2! The Jim Hjelm is way more And I'd need to purchase a belt, while the Tara keely comes with that belt.

@Mariej1221:  I prefer the Tara Keely with the bling belt.  Can you add the bling belt with TK as an option??  I would have voted for that.   I have tired on both of these dresses and they are both beautiful...but for the price difference i think the tara keely is just as good and cheaper. The TK dress was one of my top choices, but my mom did not like it on me.  It looks great on u!!!

@Mariej1221:  I have not chosen yet :) but my mom did not like lace on me...so had to remove all of them from the running.  looks great on u!!!

I prefer the top of the TK dress...something about the pointy sweet heart of the JH i thought looked a bit strange.  I think the bottom of TK is quirky and cute..but i preferd the JH bottom. man sometimes don't you wish you could design your own dress!!!

Either choice u will look fab.  just make sure u wear that bling belt...i LOVE it!!! :)

@Victorian Bride:  I'm really leaning towards the Jim Hjelm. I wish money wasnt an issue, I'd buy both! Lol now I'm wondering if the peach will look funny next to bridesmaid dresses. I'm going for a merlot/sangria purple/red color. Lol. Blush is actually in my color pallette so I'm guessing the peach dress should go well. It's not super peach anyway.

@Mariej1221:   You use a petticoat to add more puff to it. I think that's what you call it.

the peach is gorgeous but udk if ow would feel like a "bride" in the peach. I know it sounds funny, but that's how I feel lol. What did you choose?

@Victorian Bride:  I didn't end up choosing either or anything else yet for that matter. Lol I'm 95% sure we're going to just elope. I love the tara keely, but I think it might be too much for a beach wedding. I know I don't want the typical "destination wedding dress" does anyone know of any nice beach wedding dresses that look like a wedding dress? Preferably still in the mermaid shape.

@Mariej1221:  I think the Tara Keely would be beautiful for a destination wedding. I am getting married in Punta Cana next year, and I have a gorgeous lace wedding dress. I have seen girls get married down south in ballgowns. I tried on many "destination wedding gowns" and didn't like any of them. I finally decided that I plan on getting married only once so I may as well wear whatever I love and started trying on EVERYTHING!

@InBetweenDreams:  thank you! That's so true. Are you having a ceremony for two or having guests there? For some reason, I feel the tara keely wouldn't be that bad if we had guests. I feel weird wearing it for just two of us. I probably wouldn't choose the beach as our ceremony location since I don't really like sand, but our pictures would probably end up on the beach. You're right, you only do this once so maybe I should just stick to it! I'll try it on again. But there is this dress I also want to try if I can find the sample for it. It's not over the top but still beautiful.

I like #1, but the flower belt kind of gets lost in the dress? Would you consider a silk/satin sash in a different colour, like rich taupe or something, maybe with an embellished flower attached to the sash? Just an idea:)

@Mariej1221:  We do have 30 other guests coming down south with us, but even if it were just him and I and the photographer I would still pick the dress I fell in love with even if it were a ballgown. :)
