So I’m hoping the flowers will be much shorter? That will help. Honestly just cutting off half the stem of the ones you have would help a lot. Once you lower the flowers I think they’ll be fine. If you want to kick it up a notch, you could consider painting the inside or the outside of the jar. You could fill with glass beads or rocks (inside or outside the jar). You could add lace. Also, will you have having table numbers? They’ll help fill things out!

I honestly think just cutting the stems and having the tops of the flowers poking out the top will look nice and i’m with jengirl on having to kick it up a notch.

I agree w @JenGirl on the glass beads. That might give it a little extra special touch without too much extra cost or effort. Plus, they help keep the stems still so everythign doesnt shift in transport. You can get tons for pretty cheap at any local craft store in clear or colors!
