have you thought about making your own arrangements? I've heard good things about fiftyflowers.com. There are a bunch of other wholesale flower places too where you buy your flowers online and they arrive a few days before the wedding.
Since Surprise closed, i'm planning on doing my own flowers
My advice would be to go directly to a florist NOT an event design person or coordinator. I was getting quotes ranging from 7k - 3k and nothing lower until I visited a florist. The florist gave me an $1100 quote for 1 bride, 7 bmaids, 1 groom, 7 groomsmen, 2 altar arrangements, 18 centerpieces, 1 head table, and pew markers!
This really depends on whether they are in season or not, which shouldn't be a problem with your wedding date. Try Botanicals Design Studio or Belli Fiori on The Hill. Another option would be to order them directly through a florist like Walter Knoll, and they can store them for you, but you actually put them all together (or have a friend or family member do it). This saves in labor costs of having to set them up.
If you haven't already found a florist, I'd like to recommend my florist Sandra from Petals Galore. She is doing a tall, thick cylinder vase with roses for $20 each. This is much cheaper than other florists I went to...plus, the vases are ours to keep afterwards! Good Luck!

i've been looking everywhere for a florist that won't charge thousands to put a orchid in a glass cylinder vase. could any of you suggest some good florists out that have decent prices. thanks for the help
