The first and third renderings look different to me. Is there an extra piece in the third that I dont see in the first? Otherwise, I think it’s lovely.

I think it looks nice! Can you have the prongs or whatever part with the 3 small diamonds moved more on top of the band? That way your wedding band will sit flush. Or you can always get notches in your band to go around the prongs.

I agree with playdohpants, I would have the prongs sitting hire so your wedding band can sit flush.Otherwise if you get a wedding band with a notch (kind of like a little gap in the side of your wedding band – someone else may be better at explaining it) or a curved band it will hide the diamonds on the prongs (so then what’s the point IMO).

Otherwise it’s a lovely setting!

jackieohhhhhhhh:  This one has a notch so the band can sit right up against your engagement ring without the prongs pushing it away and causing a gap. The prongs sit snug in the notch!

I have a very similar ring – halo setting, smaller center stone, but the same jist, and my basket is plain. There is plenty of room for a wedding band with a similar height and thickness to sit flush against it  without notches. That was actually really important to me when I chose my ring. Here are some pics of mine, if it helps you see what it may look like in real life at all (size 7.75, just FYI).  I think the platinum part on the halo looks thick because the picture is large. In reality, you won’t see any of that.
