Ok DISNEY LOVERS PLEASE HELP:
We want to have our Honeymoon in Disney World (my Fiance dont want any other place). so here is our dilemma. we have to option on where we want to stay but we cant make our minds:
option 1: At Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Standard Room with a king size bed with a mini fridge and a coffee maker. We love the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the theme.
option 2: At Saratoga Springs Resort a Studio with a queen bed a sitting area a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker plus is just seven minutes from Downtown Disney with great nightlife.
SO WHERE WE SHOULD STAY?? HAVE YOU STAYED IN ANY OF THEM?

I vote the second one. Smaller bed, yes, but WAY better room.
I don’t know Destination Wedding (I’m a CA girl, haha), but I do know how nice it is to have some of those smaller amenities in your hotel room on longer stays. You’ll be spending a fair amount of time in your room 😉 so it’s nice to have it be comfy.
Also, seven minutes walking to DTD is awesome – so easy to run out for a meal and come home!

i did the Disney College Program way back when and worked at the Grand Floridian. So i am partial to it. Its so pretty and really romantic. So i think, if its an option to go that route. But if its between the 2, id go Saratoga over the Animal King Lodge. ITs more centrally located as the Animal Kingdom Lodge is further away from all the action! Good Luck. Ps im so jealous. I wanted to go there for the honeymoon and Fiance said no way!

I’m partial to the Polynesian Resort myself. But when we went last year I was really impressed with Animal Kingdom. I’d pick there. You can take a shuttle to Downtown Disney, but I think the remote location of the Lodge might be nice.

i love the polynesian but is out of our budget… but is true about the remote location of the lodge

Boardwalk is also really beautiful…and they have the Atlantic Dance Hall and ESPN which make for very entertaining afterparties!

Saratoga! It has a spa, and it’s got that beautiful path that you can walk to Downtown Disney on. We stayed in a studio in December, and it was just fine… I prefer the one bedrooms because of the kitchen, but since it was just the two of us there was no way we would have gotten that!
Animal Kingdom looks really cool, too! I’m just partial to Saratoga and Old Key West. 🙂

I went to the Animal Kingdom Lodge with my Fi last year and we had a GREAT time. Yes, its the most remote disney lodge but believe me, you’ll love it at the end of the day after you’ve run yourself exhausted and your sick of kids and people.
The room is so BIG (we had a standard) and so relaxing. The pool is nice and there is 1 smaller one and a hot tub. There’s also a small spa/gym and we got massages from. There’s an awesome firepit towards the back of the hotel outside and we used to get together there at the end of the day and unwind with some wine and cheesecake.
Even the restaurants were good, just expensive. And the buese are super easy to hop on and off go to whatever park you want to. We’d e up early and park hop all day and get back exhausted and ready to relax at the hotel. I found it romantic.
