Well i’m in the same predicament as you. The Maggie Sottero dresses i have seen online but i’m sure it’s best to try it on. I’ve tried on a few other dresses that i have fallen in love with online and then when i try it on it looks horrible. Where are you located?

Have you looked at sites that sell used dresses? there are a whole bunch, being that maggie sotterro is sopopular I can ony imagine that there would be lots of brides re-selling their maggie gowns.

recycledbride dot com

preownedweddingdresses dot com

oncewed dot com

^are a few that I can think of off thetop of my head.

If you really want to save money you can get a Chinese wholesaler to replicate a gown design (Jeff Liu on Ebay has good reviews; Light in the Box has also been used by some of the folks on the boards too).

I just imagined them differently on me i guess. I thought sleeveless definetely wasn’t for me but after trying on a few they actually look nice. I haven’t figured out which style i like best. I’m going this afternoon to go see a few more. I’ll take pictures and post them on here so you can see. Hopefully i can find this thread again. I am in Miami, FL.

I’m not sure which part of Ohio you’re from but I got my Maggie Sottero dress from Wendy’s Bridal in Dublin, Ohio. It was under $1K and every Fall they run a promotion where you can get 20% off your designer dress. I happened to get the 20% off when I bought my dress in October. :o)

They;ll be a little over $1000, but check out http://www.heartstringsbridal.com and http://www.weddingshoppeinc.com.

They’re both based in Minnesota, where there is no sales tax on clothing!

Sign up for both of their mailing lists… They’ll send out promo codes from time to time. I think the Wedding Shoppe is offering free shipping, plus a promo code for a future purchase (think veils, accessories) for $150+.

If you see the price that is THAT far off, it’s probably a fake. Even used Maggies go for $500.

For instance, I was lookin at the “Giselle” style and it said around 296.99

Yup I’d be guessing fake as well.
