Sorry for the open call but I usually troll through these boards silently, loving everything but I’m getting married in 2 months and can’t find the solution to my problem so it’s time to post.
My fiance and I are getting married alone in Paris (repeption at home with family and friends) and we hired out this hotel room and terrace.
If you Click this link it takes you to review “Best Hotel Ever” and he has a picture of the terrace http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187147-d1959562-on4-Shangri_La_Hotel_Paris-Paris_Ile_de_France.html#UR115002783
I’m trying to figure out how to decorate it and what decorations to bring (or can bring on a plane). My partner wanted to premake a little silk petal aisle but it will only be around 7ft I can imagine. Is this okay? He really wants it and said he’d make it himself. Any other ideas? I was thinking maybe a garland to hang on the balcony?

Oh I love candles. What about just a simple fabric draped? Some sheers pack up nice and small and dont wrinkle much at all in lugage either.

Have you spoken with the hotel? they may have something you can borrow or rent that they use in their hotel, like an arbor arch or tall plants they can move for you and then you can light up with some xmas tree lights.
I would be careful of much that would block that great view.

Thanks so much for the ideas!
DawnaN We’re having the ceremony at 6pm but apparently in Paris it’s the equivalent of 3pm sunlight so I was worried candles wouldn’t show. I might bring some anyway. Hope i don’t get in trouble from the hotel!
naturalysam That’s a good idea! Thanks!
haha lefeymw I’m so worried about asking the hotel. The room’s costing us the same as half the reception back at home for the two nights. Gah.
