Please help with English invitation wording for Swedish speaker

That sounds great to me! The only thing I might do is put “at” in front of the time (one o’clock), but it works either way.

Looks good to me!

I would consider putting “to join us in celebrating our wedding” but that’s really just a personal choice.

@Caisa:  I think that “we invite you to join us in celebration of our wedding,” sounds a bit awkward. I would add “the,” so that is becomes “we invite you to join us in the celebration of our wedding.”

I think that it might be even better to mention celebrating your love, rather than celebrating your wedding. You could say something like, “we invite you to join us for our wedding, and share in our celebration of love.”

Those are just suggestions, though. I think it’s fine the way it is if you really like it!

Alexandra & Ivo

invite you to join us for the ceremony and celebration of our wedding

The ceremony will take place at Sollentuna Kyrka, Rotebro, Sweden at 1pm

Dress code:Casual

Please RSVP at (email address) by May 9th 

 

I think it’s best to mention ceremony and celebration as in the UK it is very common to have to separate invites – one for the church ceremony and party and one just for the party So you want to make sure your guests know they are invited to both. 

also, do you have a reception (party) at a different location afterwards? If so, unless you are providing transport for everyone, you should probably list the location for this as well so that everyone knows where they are going. In that case I would put that after the ceremony location so “reception to follow at ….place, …. Address,  from 3pm”.
