hmmm your parents are traditionalists but your whole family isn’t traditional! It could be difficult to pull off putting everyone’s names on it, but could you compromise and mention something like “families so and so” are inviting you to join us bla bla bla…? using your and your FH’s last names.?

hmm that is a tricky one. I tried to find some info for you but I couldn’t find anything specifically for your situation.

I found this on USAbride.com for when Groom’s parents are divorced and included

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen Brooks
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Melissa Ann
to
William James Russo
son of
Mrs. Joanne Ruth Wilson
and
Mr. Anthony Thomas Russo
etc.

I would assume you would just write his parents new SO’s names next to theirs like when the parents are divorced and remarried. I would do something like this in your sistuation (you could list thier first names instead of Mr/Mrs so there is no confussion but that makes your list even longer!):

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen Brooks
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Melissa Ann
to
William James Russo
son of
Mrs. Joanne Ruth Wilson and Her FI’s name
and
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Thomas Russo
etc.

I’m the same way about wanting to honor everyone (FH’s parents aren’t really helping but I still think their names should be on the invite…they are his parents after all)

I’m not sure if that helps but I hope so. Do some searches online for different wordings. Goodluck!
