Wow. You guys are on the ball! Thanks for keeiping it positive and honest on here!!!
Wow! Way to go with tracking all these people down!
I L-O-V-E this site!!! Thanks for "getting down to the nitty-gritty" weddings are no joke...and over a billion dollar a year industry...it's no wonder that there are "scammers out there"...Weddingbee is such an honest, no haggle place where future bride-to-bee's and bee's and anyone else that values honesty, advise and even friendship can vent, discuss and rave about plans that are important to their (our) lives. I appreciate everything here. I may not post a whole heck-of-alot but I enjoy having this site as my "escape".
Mr. Bee you have made investigative skills. Thanks for keeping an eye on this type of thing.
Thanks for keeping things real! ( I typically hate when people say that, but I felt it was fitting in this circumstance)
It always good to see that WB is doing this kind of research. Keep up the great work!
Hi Mr. Bee - I was on that thread where she attacked a bee for shopping at high end stores and I was offended b/c I shopped at the same places! I thought it was odd the way she made it sound so easy to knock off designer dresses while at the same time calling us 'dumb' for paying real prices.
I"m actually glad to hear it was a spammish promotor and not a real bee using this site. Thank you for catching it and deleting him/her :)
Wow. The lengths some ppl will go to. If they have to do all that then their business must totally suck! If business was booming they wouldn't have so much free time on their hands to create multiple accounts and down talk brides on the bee.
I'm just saying...
WB has such an awesome Admin team; it is hard to believe that all the support would come from the same IP-- some people just are not really being all that tech savvy.
but not mr bee! Thanks!
Wow. People will do anything wont they? You rock for making sure this site is 100% real and honest. We all LOVE that.
People who do stuff like that drive me nuts :( Glad you guys put all the pieces together to stop a sneaky vendor.
oh my, did you see their website? they should probably check their graphic designer and their marketing skills. that company needs an overhaul and it's too bad that the dresses look as cheap as their professionalism and gosh-awful site.
this is why i <3 the bee... Thanks for looking out for all of us :)
Mr. Bee you're awesome! It's a shame that people would be self-serving.

Ordinarily we just delete spammers and block them from posting again.
But in this case, someone promoting "Gioavonni's Bridal Boutique" left a number of judgmental comments like this one (on a thread about taking pictures of dresses inside of a boutique):
"They do not want you to do what I did! Which is take lots of pictures of the ridiculously high priced designer wedding gown and have it custom made for less than $500! I might add my gown was absolutely stunning and I am so very happy that I didn't spend that kind of money just to have a designers name on the inside of my gown."
She then ended her post with this: "Oh, if anyone is interested I ordered my beautiful replica gown from Gioavonni's Bridal Boutique. [link]"
I immediately recognized the name, as we had a problem a while ago with promoters of Gioavonni's leaving extremely positive feedback from new accounts. So I checked the IP and sure enough, "Bridal cici" had the same IP address as "wishingwell" and "ngtaylor", two earlier users who commented solely and only on posts about Gioavonni's. Naturally they were extremely satisfied with their purchases.
We've also tied that IP to another account used by urtreasuremypleasure (another wild fan of Gioavonni's) - and also discovered several other accounts who have only ever posted about Gioavonni's (and of course, they are extremely positive reviews).
Because the comment about designer dresses upset some readers, I wanted to let people know: please ignore anyone promoting "Gioavonni's Bridal Boutique".
It could be a coincidence that there have been so many accounts created by new members eager to promote this custom dress store, and that many of them are posting only about Gioavonni's and from the same IP. However, the totality of the evidence suggests otherwise.
And most of all, I consider it an affront to the Weddingbee community that someone would attack brides who purchase "ridiculously high priced designer wedding gown[s]"... and then turn out to be promoting their own wedding gown knockoff site.
We have deleted all threads and comments about Gioavonni's from accounts tied to IPs uncovered in tonight's investigation. Please flag any promotional posts from this site in the future, so we can investigate whether or not they are honest reviews or not.
And if you've had a positive experience with Gioavonni's - please let us know that too. We don't have a grudge here - our only goal is to host honest opinions from real brides.
Thanks,
Mr. Bee
