I'm not sure what that is called. Try to contact the place you ordered your flowers from and see if they know where you can get it.
The green stuff (thin leaves) that are wrapped around the flowers :) The pic wasn't showing up a fe moments ago
I'm thinking bear grass. I would assume that you could get it from a local place. Just call them up and tell them what you want. There is enough time to get it in. Fiftyflowers has it.
I'm pretty sure it's bear grass. Check out the greenery on fiftyflowers.com
Thanks ladies! I'm thinking it does look more like bear grass vs. zebra, unfortunately I don't need a huge bulk like fiftyflowers has, just a little. I'm going to call around :)
Bear Grass or Monkey Grass depending on how thick it is...Bear grass has thinner blades and is shorter. Both look very similar, the difference is just in the thickness and length. I used monkey grass for these center pieces (it's hard to see in the picture but they are in there).
check with local florists or even wholefoods for it. they may be able to order you some in... ick.. i see you're getting married sunday, do you have a local flower market?
Do you have a supermarket with a florals section?
For my brothers wedding I ordered the flowers online (wholeblossoms.com) but I only needed one bunch of greens so I picked them up at my local supermarket. It was only 6.99 per bunch. They normally carry both bear and monkey grass but were out of bear (which I really wanted) and ended up getting monkey. I would suggest calling and having them set some aside from you so your not running store to store last min.
I've always know it as lily grass. (Bear grass is thinner.) Any flower shop should be able to get it for you, though you may have to special order it. It really adds a whimsical touch to arrangements!
My friend in Phoenix had that in her bouquets and they called it looped lily grass.
It is actually called Lily Grass, Bear Grass is going to be thinner than that. Lily grass is thicker and wider and can be either varigatted which means it will have a stripe of cream or white in it, and it also comes just green as pictured!! Here is a picture of it in my bouquet that my boss made for me! I am a florist and have been for about 5 years! Def Lily Grass!! Never heard of Monkey grass but some people have different names for the same thing???
monkey grass and lily grass are the same (they just called it that where I got mine)...so many different names for so many things
