Hi Bees. I am looking for some ideas on what kind of wedding band to get my FI. I am thinking of surprising him. Any ideas? Pics appreciated!
EDIT: Also, how much did it cost? Where did you buy it from?

Me modeling the hubby's ring. :) It's a Scott Kay band. We bought it at a local jeweler for about $300.
Here is his, with mine. It's brushed platinum.
It's about a $1300 ring, and we got it wholesale from my MIL who works in jewelry for about 50% of retail.
I wouldn't recommend surprising your FI, I know it's unfair since many of us were surprised by our e-rings, but I think it's nice to let him have some input into the ring he'll be wearing forever - especially since most men haven't worn rings before, and so might need to figure out what they like and don't like.

This is similar to my Hubby's (he has smaller diamonds, but 2 rows of them next to each other).

Don't have a pic of DH's ring, will post later. But I just wanted to say I don't recommend surprising your FI. I thought about doing that, but DH was surprisingly REALLY picky about the rings. Maybe go with him and get an idea of what he may like first?
@missfireslayer: Agreed--some guys are really picky. My FH looked at a bunch before he picked one he liked, and some styles just won't look good on certain guys, depending on overall hand size or ring size. Let him choose.
@LittlestBirds:I agree on the not-surprising him thing. I was going to go that route but then I got to thinking about it and realized something... he and I are both encore's...I will be wife #3. Both of his previous bands were just plain solid yellow gold bands...nothing to them. SOOOO not what I would pick out for him! I really like the one MrsGrape posted...the one I picked for my FI is almost identical. BUT...before I go out and spend the money I will definitely be getting his input. I am going to showing him some white gold bands and even a really cool titanium one I saw at a local jewelers and see what he thinks. I would hate to spend 3 or 4 hundred dollards on a ring only to find out he doesn't like it.
@Mrs Grape: DH has a little web (don't tell that I said something) it's not bad or anything but some of the rings tilted funny on his finger and he was all sensitive about it. We fixed it by just getting a smaller ring size. But I thought he would definitely go for one style and he went for something totally different.

i dont have a pic as we had to special order fis ring since he has massive size 14 fingers!!! lol... i would definately recommend letting him pick though... my fi knew exactly what he wanted to im glad i didnt try to surprise him :)
Here is FI's wedding ring! It's white gold with a yellow gold border. I was surprised that he went the yellow gold route because he usually only dresses in gray, black and white :-).

We looked around a little and I have an idea of what he is looking for (simple white gold band). But being he can be so picky about things, it is probably a good idea I bring him and then buy it without him knowing and that will be his surprise :P
@Future Mrs. Martin: That is my husband's ring too! He really likes it!
FI is not like any ordinary guy. Since I got some nice bling on my hand he wanted some on his. This is the ring he chose.
It actually looks quite ravashing on his hand and i love it!

This will be my guy's ring. My dad is a jewelry maker, and has over 50 years of experience. He will choose the diamond and buy the gold for him. The ring is 18K WG, with around 0.1 carat of diamond. Retail price = $1800-$2000, but because of my dad, the cost is only $500 :) YAY
Got his from Overstock... It is phenomenal! The price is better now than when we bought it (about $10 less). He loves it. It looks 10x better than the pics on the website. It's a 9mm Tungsten.

Here is a picture of FI's ring. We bought it at a jewelery shop in Jersey for $300.
We bought DH's band from Helzburg, it cost a little under $400. It's Brute Cobalt, it's supposed to be more scratch resistant than Tungsten and as lightweight as platinum. DH loves it and it look so great on him.
my husband had a titanium ring but its all scratched up so i got him a new one made of tungsten! I showed him a picture of it online and he loves it even tho he isnt that much of a jewelery man!
btw i got it on amazon. original price is 99 but i got it for 14.95 :)

@MsJ26:not at all! the original price on amazon was 99.00 but since its amazon where everthing is significantly cheaper i got it for 14.95 and about 19.98 total including shipping and taxes! we got it last night and i seemed to be more excited then he was! haha he loves it better then his old titanium ring too!
Love all the different ring styles shown here! I wasn't expecting to see much bling but I'm glad men are starting to go for individual designs too these days.
@MsJ26:yeah at first i was skeptic about buying it but i thought hey its tungsten might as well and i was not jipped at all. my husband was washing dishes with it and cleaning stuff around the house with it this morning and when i looked at it today it has not been scratched at all unlike the crappy titanium one we bought before we got married that we spend $100 on.
Here is my hubby's ring. It's platinum and retails at about $3,000 in Canada. Fortunately, we live in the middle east and we had the ring custom made. We only paid for the weight of the platinum - 13 gm. The cost here was only $1,000.
