Posting so I can follow this thread, I’m in the market for exactly the same style of ring as OP! I hope you don’t mind, OP?

Mine is 0.4ct in a very low, non-snaggy setting.

@princessggg:  6.75, probably. It’s currently being resized, and I should get it back today.

My ring, .5 total (.25 center):

However, it IS set up pretty high (the wedding band is regular/not curved and fits under it just fine).

This is my stand in from Berricle (.46 center CZ, not sure of the total):

The wedding band sits under the head just fine, but the setting is still really low (and band is actually pretty thin).

0.25 carat diamond. Wouldn’t recommend this setting for clinical stuff though, way too many cracks and crevices to clean!

As a fellow nurse, I would suggest getting a band type ring rather than a solitaire.  Something with stones on it perhaps that you can wear as a RHR later.

@Jabberwocky: Pretty ring, the super low setting looks so practical! I have a cz promise ring that’s set low like this and I love that I never have to take it off. And I love, love, love your Lord of the Rings picture! Can I steal your idea, please? 🙂

@vorpalette:  I love your ring! I’m not usually a fan of halos but yours is insanely pretty! Where did your FI buy it?

Not sure if this would help you, but it’s my RHR. Very low profile.. it’s a band with little diamonds going part ways around. Bought it from Ben Moss in Canada for around $600 I think. 14k white gold. Really sparkly!!

ETA: Size 5.75

@MsMeow:  It’s actually from Kay Jewelers. I wasn’t super excited about a chain store, but our local store has lots of great employees and their service plan was a bonus (especially because I think I cracked my stone…womp womp).

@vorpalette:  Yikes, you can actually crack a diamond? I had no idea that was even possible! Can you get a replacement?
