I just startet making mine! But I think I’ll try to make one with softer tulle aswell, to see which one I like the best.

The dress is missing straps, and flowers in the front.

I’m so excited about my flower girl dress!  I found this absolutely stunning dress through Pinterest and my mom is going to make a dress very similar to this one…we went and got the supplies for her to get started yesterday and I’m tickled pink!  I’ll post pics when it’s finished 😉

My gown has lots of tulle and a sculpted feather bust (Pronovias Uncia), so I love the idea of a tutu dress that incorporates feathers for the two flower girls, hopefully in a rose or champagne color. However, so far all the dresses with feathers that I’ve seen in my price range ($75 each) are tacky. I’ll keep looking. These are some of my inspiration dresses though:

@slpscientist:  Perhaps you could buy them without feathers, and add them on yourself? 🙂

@SusieNor:  I may give that a try, but I’m definitely not a DIY kinda gal, unfortunately. The flower-girls’ mother (my sister) is, but I don’t always love her final products. In most DIY projects with tutus and feathers they seem to just wrap a boa around the edge of the tutu. I like the feathers on the shoulders better, but it seems pretty tricky to do – I think?? Maybe we’ll just buy the tutu dresses and play with some feathers and see what we come up with. If we don’t end up with feathers, I certainly won’t be heartbroken.
