@whitemochi622:  There is a linen option from VP!  I used it on my invitations.   I ordered the wedding sample packet that has samples of all the paper weights and it was my favorite.  I’m not sure how it compares to CatPrint’s linen/cotton texture, though.

I really like the style of your invitations.  I guess my only worry would be that the colors may print similarly?  Like look to close to the same color to tell much of a difference.  Otherwise, love it.

@whitemochi622:  UGH, I had that problem with my invitation inserts – the directions cards and RSVP cards.  I ended up going with the recycled matte, so I’m hoping they came out ok.  They arrived Friday at FI’s house, but he had drill this weekend so I’ll see them today!

No, you can’t beat the $23!  That’s a steal!  Especially when you factor in postage, which will be different (if you’re located in the US) since it’s a weird size!  As far as the colors, I love the green and grey.  I just freak out about what things will look like after printing.  I guess maybe I would make the grey just a little darker?  I love the sage green.

@whitemochi622:  The only thing that jumps out to me is that it should be “the marriage of their daughter (your name) TO (his name),” not AND.

@whitemochi622:  I think it’s “to” because it just makes more sense – you are being married “to” him.

And I think you should see what going darker with the green looks like! 🙂

ETA: If you wanted to use “and”, you could probably change the sentence to “request your presence at the wedding of” instead, but I personally like the reference to marriage better (only because marriage refers to a lifelong commitment, whereas the term “wedding” refers only to the event itself).

I will say that Erick is a little hard to read in the large font, honestly wasn’t 100% sure what it said.  BUT presumably everyone invited will already know the name of the bride and groom so it’s probably not that big a deal.

The 2pm and the flourish at the bottom…something seem slightly off center about it or something.  I can’t figure it out, but something looks slightly off.

@whitemochi622:  I don’t think it’s an etiquette rule so much as a grammar rule. You are their daughter, not you AND groom. If you take “their daughter” out so it reads “At the marraige of (name) and (name)”, then “and” would make more sense. But I think it’s pretty standard to say “at the marriage of their daughter (name) to (name).”

I saw his name and thought it was the F word.

100lb paper? Have you felt it? I converted it to GSM (=150) and it’s half what we used – and we even disregarded the usual 270 our stationer uses because that was too flimsy. You invite looks gear, with the suggestions people have noted but I’d be worried about the paper. But that is a very good deal though 🙂
