Generally, anything by the Polar Brand is pretty good. I’ve had this one for four years and only have had to changer the battery once.

@hegetsme:  I tried to decide for ages. I wanted a GPS enabled one so that I could track my runs, but those were really expensive compared to the Heatrate only ones, not to mention really big on the arm. If I had bought one I would have gone with the Polar brand as they seemed to get really great reveiws and were good prices.

In the end though I got a chest strap (Polar) to link up with an app on my smartphone. I wear my phone on my arm when I run. I can track my distances, look at HR and Calorie intake etc. It works for me and I think that the strap only cost me £20.

@hegetsme:  I have the polar FT4 that I got off amazon for like $70 I think. I really like it  and it’s been serving my purpose. A lot of people say that they are surprised or disappointed when they get one because the see that their calorie burn is not as much as they though. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by how high my calorie burn is though!

@hegetsme:  I also have the Polar FT4. I love it! I’ve found that I am much more motivated when I work out, now that I have it. I even wear it when I play sports. It’s fun seeing which activities burn the most calories. For example, I burn a ton of cals playing badminton, and it doesn’t even feel like it 🙂

@hegetsme:  It was sports tracker. But I see you are going with the FT40…that was one of my top choices. Happy monitoring 🙂
