@Bumblebeast:  I think you’ll be fine although you haven’t said a lot of details. Planning a large wedding from across borders can be really difficult but from the sounds of it, its relatively small.

I would travel to your location a few days in advance if oyu have the option and that should help aleviate the stress. I would simply ask the manager if you’re able to do set up or if you can dorp items off in advance etc. that way you can know exactly what he will be doing.

Our hall they do all the set up and take down, we just have to give them labeled boxes the day before and instructions of how to set everything up and they never really mentioned that they were “DoC” although in essence they were.

Having the ceremony is a good idea, its really the wedding itself the rest is just a party. Co-ordinating the ceremony will probably be the easiest part of the planning, or has been in my experience so far.

If it makes you feel better, I did my anniversary party/reception thing from another country so it’s possible! i also had my mom help some though with regard to deposits and what not.

I’m planning a wedding for just under 100 in another country and we don’t have a planner or DOC either. It will be fine 🙂
