@EllaM:  Here’s mine! I love the fact that it’s plain metal because the rest of the ring is quite detailed. It’s a nice contrast. There are also stones up the sides of the gallery, I don’t know if the pictures show that clearly, but it means there’s something interesting to look at from every angle! It’s moissanite, with surprise stones of opal and topaz (mine and FI’s birthstones).

@DarlingClementine:  Ah I love your ring! I almost got mine remade into that, but I couldn’t stand the thought of not having mine!

@EllaM:  There is a lot of micropave on that baby! Not that it’s a bad thing, my ring is full of it, but be careful if you’re in a profession where you have to wear nitrile/latex gloves, it causes some issues with the micropaves prongs I think. I’ve lost some pave, which is normal I guess, but it’s a serious pain in the ass. Do you have any gallery pics of that ring? You might be able to get some surprise stones in like Clementines that are you and FI’s birthdays or maybe the stone of your anniversary or wedding month? I considered this bc I’m not a fan of my own birthstone. Anywho, my gallery is boring, I have a Tiffany Soleste replica

ETA: sorry, just noticed the word “halo” in the thread title…it’s a bit early in the morning for me ;).

@EllaM:  Thank you 🙂 I’ve never seen anyone else do birthstones, I love it! It’s my favourite part of the ring. The only thing that’s slightly annoying is that both stones are softer and more delicate than the moissanite so I have to be careful with washing my hands etc. Especially the opal. But the bezel does protect them a lot. Tanzanite is *gorgeous*. I almost got a tanzanite for my e-ring, but it’s quite a soft stone too.

Love to see what you and your FI come up with for your ring. Ovals are beautiful x

@FutureDrAtkins:  Wow, I love your ring so that’s praise indeed. Thanks!

@MsGinkgo:  Oh I love the prongs on that -they really makes the centre stone stand out 🙂
