@jbyrdy:  it’s sparkly that’s all I care about:) I will say it has a thick girdle and a chunky setting of which I’m not a fan.

@peace747:  I agree, I think the wedding band is more important. Engagement rings aren’t common in a lot of cultures, or the same ring may be used to signify engagement and then marriage.

My wedding band is plain gold and I love it. I wear it alone without my engagement ring most of the time. I never thought of getting stones in it because I love the classic look. I wanted something simple that obviously means “married” in all cultures. And it’s sturdy and doesn’t require any maintenance. I wouldn’t be able to wear a blingy band every day because I’m just not a jewelry person. But it seems I’m in the minority these days, as most people I know have diamond wedding bands.

Congrats OP! I love seeing these beautiful rings! My solitaire is a 1.61 carat and the ring size is a 6.
