Do you have any details for what your shower will entail? Location, theme? etc.

I wore something similar to this:

JC Penney, I got it on sale for $35 (it’s currently $50 on their site). I normally HATE dresses (really, the only other time I ever willingly wore a dress was for a “formal” dinner on a cruise)…  but I really liked this one! The overlay is a really pretty lace, so it’s light and airy and super comfortable!

I know you were hoping for color inspiration, and white is…. not very colorful… but I wore a light teal shrug over top because it was chilly that day, and it went very well. Or you could accessorize with fun colorful shoes or jewelry since you wont need a shrug in July! 🙂

I liked the idea of white to go with the “bridal” thing. 🙂

Heres one of mine. My other one I’m planning on getting is the “Oceanfront Properly” dress from Modcloth (this one is also Modcloth…I’m addicted. Haha)

My showers are quite a bit aways, but I just bought this dress from Maurices, and I love it so much I know I’ll be wearing it at one of my wedding related events

It comes with attachable navy straps too, it’s so cute!

@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics:  I went back and forth between sticking with the traditional route white/ivory or going with something colorful.  I ultimately decided to go with an ivory lace dress that I found at Macy*s.  I wore purple heels, bracelet and nail polish.  I also had a bold redish pink lip color.  Those were my pops of color which I think turned out well.  When dress shopping make sure you do the bend over and sit down test … if you can’t do either of those two without re-adjusting your dress then keep on looking!  It’s important trust me!

Just ordered this from Zappos for a baby shower I’m going to next month, I’m hoping it’ll work for random wedding related things also.  Unless the flowers are more grandma than vintage, need to see it in person to be sure.
