see thats pretty!! If you dont mind me asking did people compliment you on the center peices or were they like "oh those are fake!" our colors are pink and espresso so we were thinking of incorporating cherry blossom flowers or tulips, I just dont know how well those will look being silk.
@kchitw00: I got tons of compliments on them (someone emailed me the next day after the wedding asking to buy them!!) and i have gotten tones from weddingbee as well. If people thought they were tacky cause they were fake..i would never know as most people would never tell the bride *laugh* But everyone seemed to love them.
I guess they were silk, but definitely not the high quality ones... These were purchased during Hobby Lobby's 1/2 off sale.
My wedding isn't here yet, but we did artificial flowers (some silk, some real-touch). We didn't have the budget for the flowers I wanted (I didn't know I had such expensive taste in flowers!). Also, my aunt (who has very expensive taste in EVERYTHING) said she used artificial flowers for her wedding in the '90s, and no one noticed the florals weren't real. Convinced me! Now all mine are done, and I've still got four months to go.
You can see below: corsages, centerpieces, my bouquet, boutonnieres and bridesmaids' bouquets.
@Miss BBQ: Where did you get your flowers, if you don't mind me asking? I wanna go that route, as well, but not sure where to get them from.
@clemster: With the exception of the bridesmaids' bouquets, I got all my flowers in Michaels/Hobby Lobby 50% off sales. The bridesmaid bouquets were already arranged, and I got them at this little antique shop in town.
Here are my centerpieces. The picture with the votives only has three flowers but we're having five like the other picture.
our centerpieces were going to look like this.

So I'm not that big into flowers because #1 the cost quite a bit of money and #2 they die in a few days... so the Fiance and I have been contemplating doing SOME fake arrangements like maybe the arrangements that are far away that our guest wont be up so close to see that they are actually fake. our centerpeices will more than likely be real flowers but if any of you bees are using fake arrangements for that please share them with me I would really like to see how they turned out!
