So, I guess I'm the only one here wanting a Halloween themed wedding cake?
I have no help but I love the idea :) I had a halloween themed bridal shower and my cake was black and purple. Pretty boring however pinhead from hellraiser attended :)

Well, it’s not Halloween inspired but we’re having a fall themed wedding and this is our cake...

Actual cake. Our bakery has already made it once before for another couple. The only differences are ours will be chocolate buttercream (instead of dyed vanilla like this pic) so the frosting will be a little darker & we'll also have more vibrant colors in the leaves like the ones in the inspiration pic:
@mwitter80: I really like the cake, but I do think it's a little too over the top for the type of reception we're having. I want something that looks like a wedding cake, classy, with just a touch of Halloween added.
I love the fall leaves cake too. We might decide to add some leaves, but I think we want a bit more decor.
@mwitter80: That's my wedding cake from 1995. The baker had never been asked to make a cake for a Halloween Wedding before so when I came in with a drawing she was a little perplexed. i would have liked the spider webs and cracks to be a bit more subtle - but she did a great job considering and the taste was out of this world (Chocolate with raspberry filling) Our reception was a costumed affair at an art gallery...so it all worked out fine. We are still married too.
There are sooo many outstanding halloween themed cakes if you check google (actually kind of makes me wish I was having a halloween wedding!) but there aren't many besides the one you posted that are still a "classy" looking cake.

We're getting married in Las Vegas on October 13, but our wedding reception is on October 22 shortly after we return home and we've decided on a classy vintage Halloween theme. Our colors are Ivory, Black, and Red. We need some cake inspiration, but we're not very traditional people so we don't want anything with flowers that looks too simple. We do not like fondant so we are definitely going with butter cream icing. So far, I've only seen one picture that looks pretty up our alley and it's a zombie cake. We're from Pittsburgh and we're big zombie fans so that would fit perfectly, but I don't want anything that looks too cheesy.
