We used pomegranates as they’re very important in both the Armenian and Italian cultures.

Where having a framed blackboard indicating seats and then chalkboard hearts as name cards on the tables.

Also we are not using number we are using animals to identify our tables and they will be made of needle felted wool.

This is how we’re doing ours.  We got the frames at Dollar Tree, names in alphabetical order with their table number, printed in a pretty font on a floral paper. And then the table numbers are going to be in smaller silver frames.

I’m getting married on Canada Day long weekend, so I’m having a map of Canada, labelled with numbers:

Each table will have a vintage postcard from each of the provinces/territories, so guests will have to figure out which province is which, and find their table.

We did a big chart that was placed by the door. Super easy and less wasteful!

we are having a victorian xmas theme, so we have these hand made victorian tags that we will be putting guests names & table names on the back ( we arent using #s we are using vintage xmas books as table markers) and then tying these tags to candy canes and hanging them onto one of the trees that will be at the reception! Sorry for the Big upside down pic!

we used regular tent cards that I bought from staples and I rubber stamped the corners. Kind of like this etsy picture

@bells:  I love your idea and that inspiration picture! I’m looking for something simple and clean – I need to find a way to mark who is getting what meal on the place cards, so I was thinking of different color leaves where the flowers are.

I’m not sure if we should do individual escort cards and place cards, or if we should do one big board instead of escort cards.

What a good idea for a post! I’ll be watching this one ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re thinking of doing something like this for the escort cards (not the same colors, but the general style of varying trays surrounded by candles/flowers), and table numbers in vintage silver frames:

We took an old pallet, painted and strung twine accross to hang them on in alphabetical order.

Our mom’s cross-stitched little snowflake Christmas tree ornaments and we attached the escort card to that.  Each table was named after a tree and I put a matching escort card on their plate.  We were worried there might be confusion otherwise.

Here is the display:

Nobody captured our escort display, but this was my inspiration:

I’m working on this task currently too. Do you girls think both seating chart and place cards are need? or just one of them?
