Looking to see as many real folks with their wedding hair and makeup done (trial or day of).
I am not a big hair/makeup person and I am looking to see some real life examples of airbrush makeup vs. regular makeup.
How did you decide what you wanted in terms of hairstyle and makeup?

@Vsmart: Sure here ya go. I decieded to go with regular makeup even though I knew I wanted airbrush from the beginning, that was before I had my trial with my mua/hairstylist. She is AMAZING and gave me an airbrush look with regular makeup. I LOVED it soooo much. She made me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day.

Here is my hair and (airbrush) makeup while it was still fresh and I was indoors:
And here it is after a few hours in the 100 degree heat, crying my way through the ceremony, and a lot of laughing during the wedding party photos:
My hair was almost completely straight and my makeup was all but gone… didn’t really consider the July heat when I considered my hair and makeup.

I had airbrush makeup as well. I am def a fan of airbrush. It stayed put all day!

No pro photos yet, but this minutes after I got into my dress, about an hour after I got my makeup done, and about two hours after I got my hair done.
My MUAdid regular makeup, but she sprayed hair spray on my face and it stayed all day. Plus, it only cost $15! I did not have a makeup trial and told her she could go nuts and do what she wanted. I definitely recommend fake eyelashes!
And my hair stylist curled my hair with a wand, which also stayed all day and I only paid $30. I did have two trials for my hair, but changed it a little each time.

you all look amazing !Please ladies dont spray your faces with hair spray its so bad for you! hair spray is usually dissolved pastic substance and no one wants that on their face. their are fixing sprays suitable for this and are often glucose based…. much better!

These are great! You really all do look amazing!!
So just to clarify…do you recommend airbrush or just regular makeup if you are a sweater and your wedding ceremony is outside in early August?

my hair was off to the side, full updo with volume up top to help accentuate my headband & sideswept bangs
I wanted smokey eyes– this is all NON airbrush makeup, just great primers and an MUA that knows her stuff! Ive had both airbrush and regular and as long as the primers are quality, you should be fine with standard makeup =)

@MrsCanoodle This might be a stupid question, but what is a wand that is used for your hair?

I got my hair done first. I knew I wanted an updo when I purchased my dress (I originally wanted it down but the updo would show off my sweetheart neckline better). It did take me literally FOREVER to find a hairstyle and hairstylist! Actually I didn’t find her till 2 months before the wedding! She came recommended by a family friend. I did a hair trial. I didnt like my hair at the hair trial but I wasn’t coming back till the day of the wedding. Same thing with my makeup. I didnt find a MUA till 2 wks before my wedding! I went in for a makeup trial and thought the foundation was too dewy looking. Thank god I was very happy with results on the day of:

My cousin is a hairdresser/makeup artist. Her gift to us was my wedding hair/makeup. I originally wanted my hair down, but it was 100 degrees that day, so Cousin suggested that I do my hair up so I’d be cooler. We went shopping for makeup together – we went to MAC and she picked out what I needed and I got to keep it afterwards.
