because i want to but i have my dress! i found this dress today - its by Sue Wong who makes such great stuff - my honey is lucky i didn't see this sooner b/c I'm obsessed with feathers and would 100% be rocking this as my wedding dress - and he did ask me if i could not wear feathers b/c he loves animals (and i think b/c he isn't always a fan of you know my um...typical wildstylin fashion sense!

doesn't anyone else love feathers as much as me (um probably not bc I am obsessed with them to an unhealthy degree)
im using feather in the bouquets, in the botoniers, in the invites and some of the decoration....
that dress is lovely and very unique
did i mention its under 700 bucks? i love this dress - i know im crazy!
I love sue wong's dresses. she has some short fun ones they I'm eyeing for other wedding festivities

but i won't be wearing this dress but like you i am thinking about a short sue wong dress (with feathers of course) for other wedding events

@sandiego - yeah im guessing not a lot of people would wear it esp as a wedding dress but its VERY me - but i tend to be a little OTT fashion wise. i'd probably look like big bird in the dress anyway - im too curvy for all those feathers!
@jwinnings - if i did get married in this dress 90% of my guests would probably think i was ridiculous but they would not be suprised - i think they WILL be suprised by my relatively traditonal wedding gown!
@flamingred - i may just have to go try it on and maybe wear it to a dressy party or something.
@tonya - i really like the dress in your avatar too (even if it doesn't have feathers)

Oh, and I forgot to mention, it comes in a short style too, so you can look less bridal. :)
If I had seen that dress before my wedding I would have FOR SURE been a two dress bride, I would have probably rocked it (or even the short version of it) for my reception!
I dreamed that I wore a feather mini dress to my wedding. Everytime I saw a dress with feathers, I was sure it was a message from the universe after that!
Everyone is expecting me to wear a gown with feathers. I know it! lol. I'm being serious. The dress I picked is so different from what I thought I would get...which was something like this.
waaait a minute - frozen yogurt - i would DIE to see a photo of your friend in that dress!!! of course, i understand if you can't post one but im so happy just hearing about her!!
and is the short style online - if anyone finds a pic let me know but i am off to search now! i think i must have the short one - i don't think i could justify the long one for my reception but maybe the short one??

I wanted this one! But I couldn't get it to come in Gray.

I do too! That and I showed Mr. Holiday the dress and he was like OMG That's hidious! lol so I'm glad I didn't go with that :) It was a 2009 couture from Pronovias
WOW. I would TOTALLY have worn either of those feather dresses. It looks elegant, fun, and actually really body-flattering. (Jealousy rising!) AND under $700. Just wow. That would have been so awesome but I already bought a dress! I need to stop looking at threads re: dresses! (Maybe that's what I will give up for lent!!)
oh i love pronovias! but mr.wildstyle (who is not very wild AT ALL) hates the idea of feathers too. i was originally planning on wearing a feather capelet with my dress and he HATED it
he has not seen my dress but if he hates it oh well

@TPHoliday I can't wait to see the photos from your feather-happy wedding. Feathers aren't not my thing, but they aren't really something I swoon over - I was entertaining some feather-featuring fascinators and my mom had a fit! She associates feathers with the ridiculous poofy styles from the 80s, it was so funny listening to her rail about them. Not a single feather is to appear in my wedding, okay okay!

Thanks WildStyle, as I said its totally not a dress I thought I would pick, but I LOVE IT! I am going to do a feather or two in my hair after I take my veil off. I think it will still add the white bridal touch during the reception, but much easier and fun!

Gorgeous dress!! But I don't think I'd be able to do feathers on a beach wedding, I might burn up, but its a gorgeous dress otherwise!
