I love kids too. Alot! But kids should not be in malls during busy season or on Saturday or Sunday. Im serious. It becomes like a stroller bumper car contest every Saturday and Sunday in the mall. Find a babysitter!

Totally agree with both of these comments! I do love kids and babies but I hate how when Im in the grocery store or anywhere in public for that matter the stroller automatically has dominance. Dont mind me, dont say excuse me, just push past me, thats fine. UGH I hate strollers so much!

In all fairness, I was prob one of those mothers who hit people with the carraige. It is so hard to see just how far out the edge is sometimes. BUT i was big on the “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry” when I did hit someone.

Disney World was the worst for getting hit by a stroller.

@happyb: whaaat? if they don’t aknowledge it, I’d say “EXCUSE YOU, WANT TO WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING?” that’s probably just me though.

Ugh, I know! The same thing happens with grocery carts in the supermarket and malls.

LOVE kids, HATE strollers. Seriously. My fantasy is to have kids without ever having a stroller!

@happyb: Haha do you live in BOSTON? Because I swear to god this place is filled with the most obliviously spiteful people i’ve ever met. Seriously. I’ve never been shoved, stepped on, almost run over (cars speed up when you go into a crosswalk, i’m not even exaggerating), disturbed by loud neighbors, or generally just brushed off more than I have here!

i’ve definitely been run over by strollers and then gotten snark for “being in the way.”

some people are seriously guilty of thinking that just because they’re moms, they’re more important than everyone else. it’s really bad on the metro…people won’t move their strollers and block the doors or 2 rows of seats, then roll their eyes when i say excuse me.

Haha my brother has a child, and he never takes the stroller with him if he brings my nephew with him to the store, he just puts him the in the cart. He only uses the stroller if they go to the park or something. or for a walk in the neighborhood. He tells me he hates when he watches his wife run into things with the stroller, she does say Sorry though which is good. I want children, and I want a stroller, but like my brother I will probably only use it for the park and stuff not for shopping.

@crayfish: Haha yeah Boston is a bit tough. The mom’s there treat the baby strollers like taxi cabs. Oh yeah and forget the whole crossing the street thing. It’s all on a wish and prayer.

I couldn’t imagine not apologizing! Unless the woman is rude to me. Then I would probably stick up my nose.

I thought I was the only person who noticed this trend!  And NONE of the mothers who have ran over me with their strollers have said sorry.  I look up at them expecting them to say sorry and they just stare at me like its my fault that they ran me over!!!  I don’t understand?  I wouldn’t dream of not saying sorry to someone if I ran into/over them.  Why don’t people with strollers feel the need to say sorry?  (obviously everyone isn’t like this as mentioned, but literally every person who has ran over me has failed to appologize).
