So my cake lady says I can choose ANY number/combination of flavors and fillings.
I have 1 round tier that is real cake, 2 more that are styrofoam, and the rest of the cake will be in the form of sheet cake in the kitchen. She can make a whole bunch of small sheet cakes, or just one big one.
FI wants white cake and strawberry filling.
I like tres leches and the Chinese bakery type that’s a really moist white cake with fresh fruit filling. I generally also like chocolate, and I’m not a fan of nuts or caramel.
So please suggest more flavors and fillings, because I can’t think of anything else, thanks!

We had chocolate with Bavarian cream filling and lemon with raspberry filling. Both were a huge hit!

If you like chocolate, are you a s’mores fan at all? I just saw in one of my wedding mags a s’mores filling that looked amazing – marshmallow mousse, dark chocolate shavings, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate cake. YUM.

We are having
pink champagne cake with strawberries and whip cream filling,
chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse & mini chocolate chips,
lemon cake with blueberry cream cheese mousse & lemon curd,
guisness chocolate cake with baileys filling & salted caramel filling and
coconut cake filled with coconut pastry cream and mango curd.
I really wanted to have a seasonal cake flavor (either apple or pumpkin) but i ran out of room:/

I would probably want one layer without filling– white/yellow cake. Chocolate chip cake. Buttercream icing.
i also think I would limit the number of different combinations you try. Maybe just to 2-3 options. so I would go with the 3 you have already and just have multiple layers of the same kind!

@lealorali: That sounds yummy!
@Cummins59: Gorgeous cake! And lemon/raspberry, I’m writing that one down. I forgot how much I love lemon cake.
@hawkeyebride: I love s’mores, but not a fan of marshmallow creme or mousse. The rest sounds decadent, though 🙂
@Roxygirli05: Oh geez, you’re making me drool. That’s going to be an awesome cake, and I think I’d love all of it, especially the lemon cake!
@PatientBride: Good advice. Might be easier on my cake lady too, as she’s doing this as a huge favor to me, thanks!

It’s tough to do right but the best cake I ever had was “strawberry lemonade” – strawberry cake with a delicate lemon curd. It was very refreshing!
