I would take out the "and". It should read two thousand twelve.
I like it!
Our RSVPs are almost exactly the same - I did postcard. I also I added another line. We're getting them now and it looks like that space was needed for our invites that were 2+person. So I'm not sure how the size of postcard/RSVP card compares, but something to think about?
@GroovyHippieChick: Oh! I copied it from my ever-handy etiquette book example, hahaha. Thank you!
@atalante: Thank you! I think I will print one on my printer here at home and see how much space there actually is. Good idea!
@Coffee cup: Thanks! Good old Vistaprint. :)
Request can be lowercase
Son can be lowercase
I really don't think "RSVP Enclosed" is necessary.
Really good job!
Definitely print both parts out at home before you send them off. Sometimes you see things when it's in print that aren't apparent on the computer monitor. I had to change some font sizes and text placement when I saw mine printed out.
Very pretty though! Is the "RSVP Enclosed" line neccessary? I've never seen that before!
They look good! I'm about to order our save the dates today from VistaPrint...50% off...serisouly like $34 for 100 with envelopes! Hooray!
@SubmarinersBride: Thanks, Vistaprint suggested those capitals but I'll see what it looks like without.
@toshella: & @SubmarinersBride: Thank you, I can scrap the RSVP enclosed. I just thought the "Reception to follow" looked really lonely, hahaha. I'll take it out.
@Miss Orchard: So awesome!
Your last name isn't Pants???? -_- I feel lied to. hahah.
I think they are beautiful! I agree with PPs that you can take "and" out of two-thousand twelve, but that really is a preference thing I think. Also, I'd remove RSVP enclosed.
I like them, but the only thing that looks off to me is the TO between your names. I've only ever seen it centered, but I guess it's your choice. Great colors!
I love them, the colours and design are very nice.
Lol to me, you will always and forever be Pants. (BTW is that really your middle name?)
Usually, the last name of bride and groom aren't included if their parents are listed and the last names are the same.
I would not capitalize "request" or "son."
I would also remove "RSVP enclosed."
If that leaves you with a lot of space, consider making the fonts larger.
The design is pretty!
re: reception to follow looks lonely
You could always put a note about preferred dress below that. Ours said "reception to follow/beach formal"
I'm assuming Joshua doesn't have a middle name? I say that because, since it looks like you both have the same last names as your parents, you don't need to list your last names, but if Josh doesn't have a middle name it might look a bit empty.
Feel free to leave it the way it is! I just thought the last names were a tiny bit redundant. They look beautiful!
@GroovyHippieChick: I was told that for formal invitations you use the "and" in the year and my invites do have it
Very pretty! The only comments I have in addition to the ones other posters have mentioned about lowercasing "request" & "son" and taking off the RSVP line are subjective and stylistic. Personally, I would make all of the black text the same size (right now your parents' names are a little bigger, and I'm not sure why) and I wouldn't use italics for any of the text (not sure why his parents' names are non-italic when the rest are - but generally, I think non-italic looks best). Lastly, I'd consider changing the "to" between your names to use the non-script black font (in the same size as the rest of the black text).
@unixfairy: ah. Mine will not. Interesting! I hope I am not downgrading the formality of my wedding..
Thank you everyone for the awesome suggestions! I will be revising these a bit. :)
I know I'm not supposed to put my last name, but I just thought it looked better. Maybe I'll take it out again. And no, he really doesn't have a middle name! I hadn't noticed that his parents names were the only thing not written in italics, so thank you for pointing that out as well.
You ladies are wonderful!
@GroovyHippieChick: That's what I was thinking!
@Juliepants: Mine originally read "Two Thousand and Eleven" until my MIL who has a bachelor's in English told me to take it out or she would be embarrassed to display it anywhere ):
I currently have three different wedding invites on my fridge and they all have "Two thousand and twelve."

Oh hai!
Could you please proofread my invites before I order a whole pile of them from Vistaprint?
Let me know if you have any suggestions for spacing, or if you've noticed I'm missing something, or if anything seems unclear.
THANK YOU!
Please note:
The blue writing will appear just as dark as the printed design in real life.
On the invitation, that black dotted line border will not appear.
On the RSVP card, that blue stuff sticking out is actually what the back will look like, and the backs of invite will be the same (blue/turquoise with design).
They will be printed with a "linen finish".
My last name is not really Pants.
Also, the words won't all be blurry as hell, I promise.
Invitation - will be slightly larger in real life:
RSVP card - I think this may be the actual size:
