I just purchased this dress, so there's not much I can do, but I really could use some confirmation/ confidence in my decision. I love this dress, but my mom and a friend don't love it as much as I do. Someone please tell me I made the right decision!! The dress I chose feels so classic. I really felt like a bride in it and it had a somewhat vintage/lace and pearls feel that I want for my wedding.
The first two pictures are the dress I bought, the second one is the one my mom and friend loved:

They're both beautiful on you. You can't make a wrong choice! However YOU love the 1st one and feel like a bride in it. It's YOUR dress. Go with your gut instinct.

Thank you everyone!! This helps a ton. You have no idea! I am definitely glad I went with the first, I just wish my mom were as excited as I was! Hopefully she'll come around...
@jg2011 You were right the second one is Casablanca 1955. The first one, "my dress" (love saying that :D) is Mikaella 1305.

Wow, I definitely thought the second one was MY dress, which i've never seen on anyone else. My was Demetrios 1356. They're both beautiful, though, and you couldn't go wrong with either!
I really like your dress better...that deep sweetheart is to die for! I agree that it is a very classic and timeless dress.

Did you ever make the right choice!!! I love the first one on you for all of the reasons that you listed. It's timeless and you look fab in it. The second one, i don't know, its just more "young" or something. It's pretty, don't get me wrong, but the first one says "bride" to me.

Your dress is beautiful. I had a similar situation. I had actually tried on my dress at a different bridal shop with only my sister with me and we both loved it. When I went to "officially" try on dresses with my entire entourage, I saved "my" dress for the end. When I put on their sample, it wasn't in the ivory colour I had originally tried and it was 6 sizes too big. No one liked it. But I stuck with my gut and I'm so glad I bought the dress that I loved. I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day.
You definitely made the right choice! I don't like how shiny the second one looks, the top one is pretty much exactly what I want as well so you clearly have good taste ;)!!
