I actually really like the ruching! I think the chiffon is beautiful and the shape of the dress is lovely. I don't think it looks like a sack at all. I really like it!
Without the fanned ruching on the bottom (front and back) it will look like the dres drapes unnaturally. I think you look stunning in this gown and I know how you feel questioning yourself and your decision. For me, not being able to see my gown made it so hard. I went back too to get photos and took a video of myself moving around in the dress. =) Keep it the way it is!!
I like the original best as well. If I HAD to choose between 2 and 3 I would choose 2 - 3 is too high of a cut off, it cuts you off awkwardly.
Definitely liking the original better than the others! I feel like it adds interesting detail and that the others might be a bit plain.
Stay with the original design. :) Without even going into the complications of alterations, I think it looks a little strange to have rouching on the top and then for it to suddenly end below your hips.
You look great and it doesn't look like "a sack" at all! I think you'll be much more pleased with it when it's hemmed and fitted to your body.
first, it doesn't look like a sack at all...!
secondly, please leave it with the original design! :) it's gorgeous on you! to have the rouching suddenly "end" looks quite strange, in my opinion... the dress looks like it's supposed to have rouching, so it needs rouching! ;)
I think the dress is pretty as it is and the alterations are not worth it as the difference is not dramatic.
Leave it. Considering chiffon is so delicate, you would very probably ruin the fabric trying to make these alterations. Plus, it's prettier the way it is.
The differences are SO subtle I don't know if it'd be worth paying for. Plus, you'll be moving around and the dress won't always look the same - it'll naturally rouche a little bit with yur movement, no?
I think it's beautiful as-is!
It looks best originally! It looks odd to have the draping suddenly end.
I like the original ruching as well!
Its romantic and flowing and doesn't look like a sac at all lol
Plus I'm sure it moves beautifully with all the ruching around your hips and legs :]
You look beautiful!
i would leave the dress how it was, the ruched sections make you look sexy , they create more shape and give that wow factor, changing it just makes it look boring x
Definately looks better original, its looks lovely and doesnt look like a sack at all!!
without the ruching, IMO, it just looks like the dress doesn't fit properly and is wrinkling at the hips. WITH the ruching, it looks beautiful.
I love the original way also. It's just so pretty!

I ordered this dress two months ago but I didn't get a picture of myself in it. I went back to the shop today to try on the sample again because I was starting to forget how it looked. Now seeing it from an outside perspective, I am not crazy about all the rouching and I'm considering having some removed during alterations. I feel like the lower layers of gathering make it look like a sack, and I really want to feel great in this dress.
First, I am not even sure if this is possible without ruining the dress...it's a delicate chiffon over satin. Second, I don't know how it would look in the back. I did some photoshop work to get an idea of how it would look, if the seamstress can handle it.
