Ahh...double posted. I had just asked if you had pictures on the other thread. Anyway...I like it. I defintely think you should do the little tea light pumpkins.
I love it! Though I'm a bit biased because my centerpieces will very similar -- peach and leonidas roses, orange freesia, butterscotch button mums, and rust hypericum berries in a white pumpkin... I also love the pumpkin tea lights. The combo will be stunning!
thanks ladies for the feedback. This was my first ever centerpiece that I've ever made so I def. do appreciate the comments
@Ms. Figales thanks!!
@michelle86 ah, i know 2x post. With one month away i need to cover my bases and get as many opinions as possible. glad you like the tea lights =)
@pinkrokker wanna hear something funny. your icon came up on google images and it was one of the inspiration pictures for my mock up =D . Sounds like your flower combo will look fantastic. great choice
Looks good- I think it will be equally nice with white or otange pumpkins.
I would make the following teeny changes:
- try it with cutting the flowers a little shorter so the flowers appear more connected to the pumpkin.
-cut the roses so they are the same height as the mums
-use an odd number of roses-5 or 7
I think the addition of the apple, gourd and pumpkin tealight will be perfect.
I love the look from above, but think it would be even better if you cut the flowers shorter so that they look more full coming out of the pumpkin
I think it's pretty. I think it would look good with a white pumpkin too, but it doesn't have to be, and will probably be easier to find orange. I wouldn't add anything else to it, it looks good the way it is.
Really cute and a great idea.
I have to be honest. I normally not a fan of mum's (at all) but adding the roses really makes them more appealing and add dimension. Plus the pumpkin is such an adorable touch.
I like it. Off the bat I was going to say the same thing as a couple other posters. It kind of looks like there's too much green showing. Maybe strip the stems a bit, and shorten them so they sit closer to the pumpkin.
These are really cute! Love the pumpkin candleholder.
Very cute! I agree, cut them smaller and I think white pumpkins would be gorgeous! Lowes currently has them right now if you want to try a look with them.
@misssgreen really they have white pumpkins. i'll have to check them out. although I don't know how early I can buy the pumpkins before the go bad.
If any one happens to know how long an uncut pumpkin will last that would be great.
Thanks everyone for your advice and sugesstions.
appreciate them =)
I love the idea! I think there seems like a lot of orange in the 1st photo, but if you put the white pumpkins with it, it will look gorgeous, and what a creative idea! :-)
I think they are very cute and have a great fall theme to them! Great job
I think you did a really good job! And good choice on the color of the mums, with that redish/orange mum with the yellow gives a really good contrast!
These are so cute!! If you do shorten the flowers (reduce the green) then I might suggest a different color pumpkin or mum, it might be a little too much orange. Love the little tea light pumpkin!
Thanks again for the positive feedback and all of your helpful suggestions. I knew i could count on my fellow bee's for great feedback on the centerpieces =)
@lanetta2 -whoo hoo for 10.30.10 ;-)
Very cute. I agree with the other posts that the large pumpkin flowers need to come down lower and all be even so the roses are not sticking out higher than the mums. You may be able to accomplish this by cutting more off the top of the pumpkin so that the opening at the top was wider and could accommodate the flowers being spread out and cut shorter. This will make it look less like and hourglass shape and I think be more pleasing to the eye. I would get rid of almost all of the green leaves, too, when you cut it shorter.
I can't tell with the little pumpkins and the lights, but it looks as though the tealight might still have the metal part with it. If so, I would take the candle part out of the metal and just inset it into the pumpkin so it is flush at the top. Don't let any metal show (if it is! :) )
All is all, a great job!
thanks Ladies for the encouraging words and kind advice. Def. will be taking all these things into consideration!
appreciate it =)

Hello bee's!
i just made a mock up of the centerpiece I want to use for my fall themed wedding on Oct 30th. please let me know what you honestly think
The centerpiece is made up mostly of orange mums with 6 yellow roses . I was originally thinking of putting it inside a white pumpkin but my local supermarket only had orange ones (i think i kind of like the orange pumpkin). I was also thinking of maybe putting an apple, one of those funky looking gourds, and one pumpkin tea light in a cluster next to the arrangement but i forgot to buy the apple and my supermarket only had white little pumpkins. Should I keep it as is ? or try it with the apple and gourd?
So do u think it? Do you think the apple and other gourd will look weird? Are the mums too orange in comparison to the orange pumpkin? Should I keep it in an orange pumpkin or try and look for the white?
thanks!
let me know what you think
