Can anyone reccommend a good plum colored mascara? I’m thinking I want a pink/burgundy/wine type of smoky eye & I’m all about color mascara. I have YSL in a violet purple and I noticed that they make one in a plummy color. Wonder if anyone’s tried it? Also I think Benefit makes BadGal Plum. Any thoughts on that? Any other brand? I definitely don’t want purple that’s on the blue/violet side. Want more of a deep wine/burgundy.

Clarins have a good one I think it’s called wonderlash?? but I know they do a couple of plums-
Also Estee Lauder has a plum as well….can’t remember the name though sorry!!
Dior’s purples are quite violet so I wouldn’t go there….good luck!!

I have never tried Bad Gal Plum but I love the Bad Gal Blue so I’m sure that it would look great too!

I haven’t tried Bad Gal Plum, but I think the Blue is great. From the looks on the site, the color looks about what you’re looking for.

Do you all have green eyes? I hear plum/purple is supposed to be best with green eyes. I’m not very daring with makeup, but I have green eyes, and if it is supposed to be magically awesome, then I wanna try this stuff too!

Thanks for the tips ladies!
I have hazel eyes – so I can get away with a few colors that work for greens and browns and grays. 🙂
@ swiss – thanks for the additional options – I’ll check out clarins & estee lauder too! 🙂 Thanks for the tip on Dior too. 🙂
@3M thanks – glad to hear from someone who’s tried the plum. Is it really dark? or somewhat noticiable?
@MissAsB & Jessie – oooh, now you’re making me want to try the blue too. 🙂 Could blue lashes be my “something blue”? LOL.
@galactic – oh, you should definitely try a purple mascara. I used to be very “safe” with my makeup. Then a friend convinced me to try YSL’s violet mascara. I’ve never turned back since. 🙂 Mascara’s a great first step to trying colors – you can start with an almost black shade & it’s not as noticable. I can’t tell you how many compliments I started getting on my eyes after wearing the purple. Now I have purple, blue, green, bronzey/black… and hopefully plum soon! It also pushed me to trying more color in other ways too. 😛
@meowkers – obviously I wholeheartedly agree! 🙂
Thanks again ladies!
