@phishy179:  I don’t have a fantastic shot of my shoes, and I don’t even know if they were 4in or more, but they were comfortable

I got them at David’s Bridal for $50. I even stayed in them for the dance. Bridal shops can probably recommend their best and most comfortable shoe.

Also, you could get gel inserts for them as well. They stick to the shoe so your foot doesn’t slide around and some come cushioned. I got mine from Avon, but I have seen them at Target before.

I had 2 pairs–one from Payless (ceremony shoes), and one that I had someone strass for me (I forget the make). Both were somewhat comfortable, but when it really came time to boogie down, I did it in bare feet, lol.

Yes I did….  but I think both the platform and breaking them in helped TONS!!  I ordered a pair from Touch Up’s a bridal shoe company that had a 5″ heel (with platform felt lik a 4″) yikes!  I thought it was a 4″ heel (withplatform felt like 3″) but is wasn’t.  Since I needed height and LOVED them I kept the non refundable shoes.

I vowed to wear them as long as I could so I started wearing them around the house to break them in.  It worked like a charm.  Wore them and my party shoes (another platform from JP Penny that was 1″ shorter than my others) until midnight where I ditched the heels for flats.

I think the combo of excitement and breaking them in saved the day.

Here they are:

Good luck on your shoe quest!
